The previous person is using a small bookshelf speaker on this system which is totally ludicrous. That type speaker can not handle the power per channel that this mixer generates. Obviously the previous person does not know anything about live sound.
This mixer when matched with the proper wattage speakers is awesome. The sound is good and crisp and more than enough to fill large rooms. Do yourself a favor, don't buy something you have no clue about using and then write crap reviews about it. Your lack of knowledge does not make the product bad.
This board has speaker protection circuitry, which is why the guy hooking to a bookshelf speaker is getting nothing but clicks. The board is lightweight, compact, easy to run and has a great sound. I compared mine with a Mackie (using the same speaker cabs) side by side and found it to be MUCH cleaner sounding. I was astounded how much better it sounded than the Mackie, and also it's much easier to use.
First, pay no attention to the one star reviewer. He doesn't know what he is doing. That aside, I am a mobile DJ and this mixer has performed with me without fail for 5+ years. It has handled everything I've plugged into it. This includes guitars, 3+ mics, laptops, cd players, etc. For the price, it really is a decent quality mixer. Definitely worth it if you're on a budget. Just take care of it and don't get sand in it.
