A powerful stage monitor with its own volume and EQ.

The 125W Behringer EUROLIVEF1220A Active Monitor has its own EQ and volume. You not only have control of the output, you can also tweak the highs, mids, and lows for a clear, true sense of your sound. It's a proven fact that the better you can hear yourself, the better you'll play-isn't it time you got active?

Great sound takes guts
Inside these Behringer loudspeakers is the equivalent of a 2-way electronic crossover, a graphic equalizer, parametric equalizer, a mic preamp, and two power amplifiers! A 12" long excursion driver delivers deep, punchy lows while a 1" titanium-diaphragm compression driver gives you clean, crisp highs. They all work together with 125 watts of handling power and don't need adjustments or a degree in sound engineering.

Triumphant transducers
Every stitch of these loudspeakers is built to deliver, but the fact is that their transducers (woofers and tweeters) are the only part you actually hear. While some manufacturers are okay with putting off-the-shelf transducers in their boxes, we custom-design and build ours from scratch. Not only do we wind our own voice coils, we grow the trees that are processed into the paper pulp that becomes the cones. We even machine the frames and backplates. Behringer's quality is truly under control.

Speaking of control…
The Behringer F1220A Powered Monitor doesn't just sound great. It also gives you instant control of your monitor mix, even in mid-performance-something passive monitors simply cannot deliver! Need more volume? Turn the LEVEL dial until the desired volume is reached without activating the CLIP LED. Sound too bassy or trebly? Just reach down and use the three-band EQ (High, Mid, Low) to tailor a rich, exciting sound. We've even given you a line of defense against live sound's greatest enemy. If you're experiencing feedback, just press the Feedback Filter switch, then slowly turn the Frequency dial until feedback is eliminated.

Anytime, anywhere you choose
This Behringer monitor doesn't just cater to musicians. It's excellent for anyone with a need to be heard! With just one F1220A and a microphone or MP3 player, you can set up an instant sound system. Thanks to the built-in preamp section, you can connect a dynamic mic directly to the F1220A and raise and lower the volume with the Level control. Suddenly, it's showtime in no time at all. The F1220 also has a 35mm socket so you can easily mount it on a pole for use in a PA system.

Awesome sound, unbelievable value
The Behringer F1220APowered Monitor is designed to give your next crazed rant/public announcement/synthesizer recital exactly the monitor or PA sound you want with minimal prep time. Suddenly a monitor sound that once was only available in a recording studio is available in virtually any live setting. Loaded with a slew of incredible features but not loaded down by a heavy price tag.

  • Great Powered Monitor for Small to Medium Venues

As reviewed by Mark Ellender on 2/29/2012

I purchased this monitor because I like the sound of live instrumentation on stage over pricey inner ear monitors. This monitor allows me to adjust my own volume and EQ if necessary and includes a nice feedback filter. I've only used it for two shows so far, once at a small club and once at a medium sized venue. I was able to hear it over the stage instrumentation (rock/alternative) while set at exactly half volume. It's not a perfect replacement for heavy duty pro audio monitors but is doing a great job so far for my needs.

  • Good Value and Performer!

As reviewed by Gary Uhland on 8/4/2011

I'm a drummer and was seeking a monitor to fulfill two basic purposes: 1) floor wedge for live gigs; 2) play my iPod through an amplifier loud enough to hear while I practice at home. I also wanted a monitor with controls on the front so that I could reach them (somewhat) easily from my drum seat to make adjustments without having to get up from the drum kit. With the monitor on the left of my kit, I can reach the controls pretty well. It performs great as a floor monitor so I can hear what everyone else is playing. I typically want to hear the bass guitar and the vocals above the rest of the mix. The EQ, though basic, is more than enough to adjust the lows/mids/highs to obtain a good mix between the widely different frequencies of the bass, vocals and guitars. I haven't needed to use the Feedback Filter but experimentation with it seems to suggest that it works well. The monitor is also loud enough and clear enough that I can crank tunes from my iPod through it while I practice at home. One thing to note: When I first tried to play my iPod through it, I got distorted playback, e.g., the vocals sounded muted and distant. I thought the monitor was not functioning properly. The sound pro at Guitar Center pointed out that I was using a stereo (balanced) mini-to-1/4" cord - I needed to use a mono (unbalanced) cord. As soon as I switched cords, it worked perfectly. The Clip LED is also very handy for helping me adjust the volume easily and quickly. Bottom line: works very well as a floor monitor, as an amp for playing tunes and is well-organized ergonomically. I recommend it highly.

  • Great Monitor's

As reviewed by Greg on 6/3/2011

After lugging around my large sound system with amps and monitors to all of my gigs, I decided to go with some 15" powered speakers for our small to medium sized venues. The issue arose trying to find a good stage monitor. I looked at different makes and models and even thought of just buying another pair of the powered speakers that I already had. The problem with that was that all of the controls were located on the back and no matter how you positioned them, it was still at a goofy angle. After reading all of the specs on the F1220A's I was a little concerned about only being 125 watts. I went to the store to listen to them but none of the stores in my area had them in stock. I took the chance and ordered them knowing Guitar Center has a great return policy. Once they arrived, I set them up in my home and was really impressed with the angle, sound, and the controls being in a easy location. Our first gig was the same weekend and was supposed to be in a small hall. When we arrived, the A/C had gone out and the party was moved to the outdoor concrete dance floor that was covered with a tin roof. I was a very concerned since the wind was blowing really hard and the size of the area. We set up and these powered monitors performed flawlessly, they had plenty of power and the sound was perfect. After the show was over, all of the band members agreed that they were well worth the investment. We threw the boxes away, they are keepers!!!!!!!!!!!!
