Mint Condition: This instrument or product has been carefully played/used and returned to us in virtually new condition, however its packaging may not meet the standards set by the factory. Also, it no longer carries the manufacturer's warranty. If you're looking for a virtually new instrument in possibly less-than-perfect packaging, this is a great value. Frankly, I wasn't expecting a lot for the price. I was pleasantly surprised by the sturdy metal box. Lightweight & rugged. (Have used only for one show so far, but I expect long life.) Works as easily as one could wish for -- lights clearly indicate which pins are (or aren't) connected. Simple diagonal line means good. Phantom power check is a simple go/no-go test; the purist in me could wish for more details, but definitely not in this price range.
This is my favorite cable tester so far. Not only does it tell you if a cable is bad, but also shows contemporary rockyou what pin has the problem. You can see which pins are shorting to which, or making no connection at all. You can wiggle the cable, and if it makes a bad connection at any time during the wiggling, it will let you know. Switch the mode and you can test a cable from one end only using a loopback plug; this is useful for installed cables. I've been very happy with this tester, for the price, you can't go wrong.
