The flexibility of this MIDI controller is great for people who need a programmer for certain synths or people who want to control certain midi functions on the fly. Drum machines, samplers and voice processors all will benefit from this device. Setting up the device is a snap. The Java applet downloadable from Behringer is supposed to be helpful but I never got it working.
Before you buy it, however, make sure the midi data sent and received with your device is compatible, and will do what you want it to do. More automatic programmable expectations could be had by the BCF2000, or the fader variant of this device. Commonly known as the "Beans Cheese and Frijoles."
