  • Multi-Pattern workhorse.

As reviewed by Jim Brack on 2/10/2011

Though I cannot begin to compare this mic to my Neumann U87, it does have the same pattern options that make it useful in many venues. The sound is only the slightest bit crisp, but is good on acoustic instruments and male vocal. It shines on piano leaving no desire to EQ. I find it especially useful on remote locations; I would never use my expensive arsenal on drums at an outdoor concert, but the B2-PRO is awesome in figure eight pattern between the snare and hi-hat while rejecting the rack toms. I have learned less mics live and more mics studio is a good rule of thumb. Be assured that this versatile mic fills the need for a host of projects.

  • Workable

As reviewed by Working Man on 10/27/2006

The Behringer B-2 Pro Condenser Mic feels very solid (in fact, it's survived the mic stand falling over twice), almost indesctructible. The output is very hot but I have found that it doesn't seem to have much headroom, killing dynamics. It seems to be either on or off as far as level is concerned. Using the -10db pad has helped but I still find that my MXL mic for half the price gives me much more range. This mic also has a very pronounced high end presence and quickly makes your mix harsh if you use it on too many tracks. It comes with a great flight case and wonderful shockmount. The foam windscreen is plain silly. Don't get me wrong, this mic is usable and tough, I just don't like it as much as other mics. I'd get it for the extras more so than the mic itself. There are lots of other mics in the nearby price range that are excellent mics.

  • Behringer B-2 Pro Condenser Microphone

As reviewed by jester872 on 10/9/2006

The Behringer B-2 Pro Condenser Microphone works really, really good. I have found so many uses for it. Especially when using it to recorder my acoustic guitar and lyric tracks. I purchased mine about a year and a half ago and it is still working great. The package cannot be beat especially since you get the mic, shockmount, and filter. The carrying case does a great job of keeping your valuable safe. I would reccomend buying this if you are shopping for a great micrrophone.
