I had bought this recently, but ended up having to return it because it would not work for my mixer. This is meant for a regular mic cable connection (no 1/4'' mixer inputs will work). I was so very excited to try it out, but unfortunately it did not work out for me. I think it is a great steal though for it's price. It does not come with all the accessories to plug in to play, that is the only downside.
I bought a Behringer B-1 about four years ago. I had been recording all of my vocals into my DAW via a dynamic mic up to that point. I can tell you that using this mic made a tremendous difference in my vocal tracks. This is a quiet, responsive and somewhat bright microphone. For roughly a hundred dollars, this is a real bargain. I can't believe how good it sounds for that money. The differences between this mic and a high-end condensor mic are very subtle. I find with some of my other condensor mics, I boost the eq some in the mid-range to get the vocal track to cut through the mix. This mic cuts through without boost usually. It has an enhanced upper-midrange response naturally. I recommend this mic to anyone who is looking to upgrade their recording setup to a large diaphram condensor mic and doesn't want to spend a bundle in the process. Don't forget that you'll need a source of phantom power.
I have buyed some products from behringer and NO ONE at this moment has failed. And the most important think of this company(Behringer): There is no exist one brand in all market, with better rate cost/benefit than Behringer. The Top line products of Behringer(I mean, the better models Behringer) compete with brands that cost from 2 to 10 times more, and medium models are very reliable for the people with low or very low budget. I want to finish with one last and very trite sentence applied to Behringer: "Don?t get fool with the Low Price, and you thinks, not all cheap is really cause to bad quality".
The supposed purpose of Behringer?s creator(It says: double of advantages at half price) seems to be genuine the truth.
