Behringer ADA8000 does work

The pops and clicks that the other customer was talking about in his review were due to the Digi002 and the ADA8000 not synchronizing with each other. It has been a while since I tried it because I got rid of my Digi002 but on the back of the ADA8000 you need to set the master/slave switch. Read the manual and all should be fine. Those pops and clicks are normal if your settings are wrong.

cheap but effective

for the price you really can't beat this. like mackie, behringer gets a bad wrap. the pres arent the best, but they are usuable. the line inputs are pretty decent. i have used outboard pre's put into this device and i was surprised at how well it brought the signal in. the outputs are FANTASTIC if you want to mix "outside the box". like the other person said, the unit can work flawlessly with a 002 if thats the interface you are using. there are two solutions: 1. change the clock setting input in protools to "adat" 2. set the ada8000 to slave via adat easy as pie, decent sound, and CHEAP

Good for the price!

I have used this in a studio setting and find that this preamp is very transparent and is great for tracking drums and guitars. If you're looking for a micpre with character, this is probably not the best option but for adding additional inputs to say a Digi 003, or using in a home studio, this item is a steal. (for the price)
