Very Nice Indeed!!!

By Seth Komitzky

from Cheltenham, PA

What a pleasant surprise. I really would have liked to have played the guitar before I bought it, but I could not find one. I order from GC and it arrived at my home 3 days later. The guitar is beautiful in its looks and tone. The woods are nicely selected and grained, the hardware is simple and effective. I have been searching for a parlor sized guitar and have been through a few that have been dissappointing in some manner. The fit and finish is as nice as any four figure priced guitar at a three figure price. It is simple and elegant. The tone is very nice as well at both the high and low end -- I actually find it to be very nicely balanced if not super loud. The neck is slim and comfortable and the fret board is nicely spaced. I had read that it has a wider nut making it even nicer for finger style playing, but I did not feel any real difference other than it is very comfortable to play. The Washburn actually felt like it had a wider fretboard/nut spacing. The action was perfect out of the box -- go figure -- tuning was even very close!?! I am currently working an acoustic styled blues and this guitar fits that style very well.
