The Bartolini 57J1 5-String Vintage Jazz Bass Pickup Set is a great way to improve the electronics on your jazz bass. They feature dual Coil design, producing low noise, with a perceived brightness in the neck position and deep tone from the bridge position.
Just replaced the pickups in my 03 Fender MIM jazz passive 5string and I couldn't be happier! On stage my stock pickups hum all the time, so I did some shielding at the same time as the Bartolini 57 install and the hum is 99 percent gone! The Bartolini sound is amazingly clean, full, warm, and powerful. They are well worth the few extra dollars, I would get these again!
