The Pro X Bich is Dark, sleek and sexy, this Bich will drop jaws wherever you take it. A Shadow complexion contrasts with a TonePros ® Tune-o-Matic bridge and Grover Super Rotomatic tuners. EMG 81 (bridge) and 60 (neck) pickups provide the voice while a 24-5/8 inch scale and 24 jumbo frets on any ebony fingerboard provide the touch.
B.C. Rich is known as one of the pioneers in neck through construction. They use it on many of their guitars, because it provides the best possible sustain, resonance, comfort and access to higher frets. Neck-through has long been considered the premium construction method for high-end guitars. This construction starts with a long piece (or pieces) of premium North American maple. That piece runs from the tip of the headstock to the strap button on the opposite end of the guitar. This means that the headstock, fingerboard, pickups and bridge all are mounted to this single sound foundation. Sonically it is a difference you can hear. The neck-through construction also allows more of the body and neck to be cut away at the neck joint, which provides comfort no bolt-on or set-neck could offer. You will find the neck through feature on all top of the line B.C. Rich models.
EMG-81 (bridge position)
The EMG-81 is a high output pickup designed especially for the lead guitarist. The 81 is at its best for high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume. Whether you're playing power rock and roll, or overdriving your amp, there's a razor sharp attack, and incredible sustain for brilliant soloing. If you're looking for exceptional qualities in a rock pickup, the EMG-81 is the one.
EMG-60 (neck position)
While the EMG-60 humbucker still features the close aperture coils loaded with ceramic magnets for the brightest attack of any of EMG's many humbucking models, this pickup also packs plenty of output with both clarity and cut through high end. The EMG-60 guitar pickup is incredible for rhythm guitar as metal and extreme players have discovered.
With a distinctive tone for soloing, the 60 works perfectly as a clear, yet fat lead pickup. The resonance slope is steeper but the peak is higher than other EMG models. The EMG-60 pickup is the result of a lot of input from various people. It is probably the most versatile humbucking pickup EMG makes, but doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

Comments about B.C. Rich Pro X Bich:
Having owned and played this guitar everyday, at least, a couple hours, for about 2 weeks, I must say, the Bich is an excellent guitar on all levels. I bought mine used, but to look at it, you'd never know, it was a used instrument. The craftsmanship is outstanding, not a single flaw, from headstock to the bottom strap peg. Its looks are wickedly beautiful, yet elegant at the same time, but where this guitar's strengths lie, are in the playablility and sound. It is obvious, the moment you pick it up, it is a solid, but not too heavy, at least for me. The active EMG's roar, with authority and clearity. The sonic characteristics of this guitar are what guitars should have and be. The neck is fast, comfortable, and make playing it effortless. Whether playing clean, crunchy, or downright dirty, this guitar handles them all with quality, of which, guitarists dream. If the hard chunky low end is needed, it's there in spades, and if a searing lead phrase is needed, this guitar lets you sing, clear and crisp. The controls are responsive, not like others you end up with little or no real control. It doesn't take turning a knob half way to change the volume or tone, something I find a true luxury, afte playing guitars where it's half way before the sound or volume changes. If you've not ever played a neck-through-body guitar, with string-through-body construction, you're in for a glorious surprise. The natural sustain of this guitar will amaze you, which 'neck through with 'string through' constructed guitars are known for having. Play through a sustain effect and you have sustain for days. The note, chord, will hang out in the air to excess. Lets talk about the neck... it's fast, comfortable, and is like playing butter. Hammer-ons, Pull-offs, Bends, Slides, manifest with little or no effort, clear, clean, and crisp. In conclusion, this guitar is, with its quality of construction, construction type (neck-through and string-through), features, attention to detail, and appointments, is as good, if not better, than guitars listing and costing twice to three times what the Bich does. Do yourself a real favor... if you're looking at upgrading your instrument, you will be, more than, well served acquiring the Bich Pro X.
