i got this with some cash i'd saved up over the summer and after playing it quite a bit at the local music store, i decided it was what i wanted to spend my money on. ever since i got it back in december, i've practically never put it down, it gets played every day that i'm home. a few of the major things that stuck out to me were a) it was neck thru. made it so easy to get up to those higher frets. b) tone on this axe is AMAZING! i can do everything with it. i like to play alot of metal, but i'm also going into jazz band for my freshman year( dont pass this up just because i wasn't around when the electric twanger was invented), and i'm very confident that it can do both. the Rockfield in the neck is so smooth and warm, it just blows my mind that it all you have to do is flip to the bridge and pound out some riffs. BASIC IDEA: plays like a million dollars, but costs a whole lot less.
I just got this guitar a couple months ago, and it is still in wonderful shape. I use it so often and it is still as nice as the first day I bought it. It sounds great and looks awesome. I've played it on stage and it holds up really well. Great distortion sound, This is by far my favorite guitar.
This Guitar is Great, Good clean, Even better Metal tone, Not so good for classic 60's rock, but great for metal. I'm surprised to find a great clean sound too. Killer look to it nice feel definatly consider this guitar.
This guitar felt great the moment I picked it up. It has great tone and sustain and a neck that fit my hand perfectly. It holds tune much better than my SG. I have owned it for about a year now and play it much more than my SG or Strat. The only somewhat negative about this guitar is the weight, very heavy, but I guess that helps give it the great sound. I've got the Dragon Blood red, and every one that see's it thinks it is one of the coolest guitars they have ever seen.
Normally, I play the Bich body style. I never got into the mockingbrids, that is until this guy came out. Pick up one of the first ones and now I play it more than my Bich! Pick this guy up!
I bought this guitar during the March promotion special for it, when it was $499.99, and let me tell you how disappointed I was. The neck was warped, the tone nob did not work and the guitar just plan sucked. I took it back and exchanged for a Schecter C-1 Blackjack... Don't waste your time. I will never buy B.C. Rich again... The two good things that came out of this experience was that I learned how great rockfield pickups are, great vintage tone, clean or distorted. I am looking to purchase a Rockfield SWV to put in one of my other guitars... Also, I learned how great Guitar Centers return policy and customer service is. They were top notch, no hassles, great job GC in Lewisville, TX.
This is the worst guitar I've ever bought. And the price was high, so I expected a very fine guitar, which wasn't the case. Don't buy this if you want a good guitar, if you only want a guitar for the looks, then you can buy this one. Ask yourself this question: Do I want to play the guitar when I buy one?
This is a nice guitar, but not as good as I thought it would be. I play a lot on stage, and that has really tested the quality of this guitar, which isn't as good as some of my other guitars. Anyway, it is a nice guitar, but the price you must pay for it is way to high. I know some better guitars that are half the price of this one. A positive thing about this guitar is that it looks very cool. I've played on it a few months, and after tuning the guitar, it gets off key immediately. I hope I helped you with this review...
The MockingBird Special is the ultimate Heavy Metal guitar. I tried it out about a little less than 2 months ago and been waiting for it to be put on the website so i could write a review. The Rockfield SWV Humbucker Pickups are the best. They scream on distorted and it plays beautiful clean. The Neck is a neck through constuction so it is the best neck joint possible. I am planning to buy this once i scrap up the cash.$$$$$
