The JRV Standard Electric Guitar has the insane kind of V-body that B.C. Rich knows a thing or two about. Built on a screaming design, the JRV guitar's body is crafted from nato wood, offering strength and resillience, no matter what the road throws at it. The C-shaped maple neck, 24-5/8" scale, 12" radius, and 1-11/16" nut width keep your fret hand comfortable while you're running across the rosewood fretboard's 24 frets.
For electronics, B.C. Rich selected Rockfield mafia pickups, adding balance and sustain to the JRV guitar package. Ceramic magnets give the pickups extra power due to their increased magnetic field. This makes Mafia pickups deliver hotter and thicker tone that's also aggressive and full. The B.C Rich V guitar's increased low end, thick mids, and in-your-face highs are what rock and roll was built on.
Other desirable appointments on the B.C. Rich JRV guitar include a Floyd Rose special bridge, volume and tone controls, a 3-way pickup selector, die-cast tuners, black hardware, and a gloss finish to round out the package.

I wish i knew where to begin with the amazingness of this guitar but no matter how many great descriptive words a can use to describe this beast it just wouldn't be enough... Try it for yourself and you'll know as soon as you play it exactly what i mean. i highly recommend this guitar more than any other and also don't let the fact that it says Jr keep you from buying it... It is bigger than all of my other guitars (not just taller)and i've been playing guitar for 12 years. I don't care if your Hendrix or just starting out and learning this is what you want.
I bought a B.C. Rich 20 years ago and have been playing Death Metal since. I tries the B.C Rich JRV Standard and for the money it is right in the caliber of the B.C Rich line. Thanks to Slayer, Deicide and Death; B.C. Rich has created many guitars that have made millions of guitarist around the world. The JRV is a guitar I would highly recommend.
I am a huge fan of V-shapes, and Bc Rich, and when those two are mixed together, the gods cry in agony. This guitar has more awesomeness than a Chuck Norrisaurus, and it does not fail to deliver. Its sharp edges and blood red color scream death metal, and every ounce of those words is pure truth. Its FR bridge gives awesome effects and also gives cool vibrato for when I play blues.
B.C. Rich has done it once agian. I have owned a cheaper V from Dean and i cant compare it to this one. If you are even thinking about getting this guitar, stop thinking and buy it. It's low action, beautiful tone, and screaming pick ups, you wont be disapionted. Enjoy.
if you like vs go get this one. its the best v ive ever played. the rockfield pickups are a little week, but i replaced them with actives and this thing rockes. the floyed rose works great. i put my strap on and the balence is great. i dident have to relocate the strap buttons eather. the playability is awsome. go get this guitar, its worth it, b.c. rich you did it again.
