The B.C. Rich Warlock Bronze was my first bass. I bought one for my birthday, and I absolutely love it! I use it for heavy metal songs. I don't have an amp for it yet, so I'm using my friend's hartke. This bass has a great sound and a killer look for the stage. It is very heavy and I sometimes get tired from holding it, but that is about the only thing i dont care for. I am currently in the process of making a case for it because it is too big for any case on the market. My dad told me that i should buy another bass that maybe isn't as big, but I think you have to love what you play, and I love this Bass. I would recommend this to anybody interested in playing Bass.

This bass has a great sound and i love it, but it's too big. It's extremely heavy and really long. I bought this because of its low cost, but I can't carry it anywhere because nobody makes a case or gigbag that it fits in. To get a case for it you have to special order it through the company and it costs just as much as the bass itself. Think about it befor you buy it.

Great Bass for Metal

By Firebird455

from Jefferson, NJ

Comments about B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock Electric Bass Guitar:

My first bass was a BC Rich Warlock. I've had it since 1988. It's been through everything and still sounds as good as it did almost 20 years ago. While it does not have the dynamic range of a Fender P-bass it sounds great for metal bands and hard rock. If you are into metal and hard rock this is a great inexpensive bass to start with. It looks mean, has great action, and a real punch.

Awesome Bass!

By BassInTheFace

Comments about B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock Electric Bass Guitar:

I bought the bass partially because of how it looked. If your started out and you want an AWESOME bass, get the warlock. This thing sounds great! The wonderful pick ups and great tone. Perfect for playing metal and rock. If you have a small budget, I really recommand the Warlock. Its the most bang for your buck. !,,! (*.*) !,,!

Warlock Equals Magic

By Poker Man

from NRH, Tx.

Comments about B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock Electric Bass Guitar:

My son decided he wanted a guitar for his birthday. (13th) This was going to be his first instrument, and honestly, I didn't know that much about guitars to help him decide. We went to the Guitar Center, and a young man named Richard helped us. When I asked him for guidance in selecting a first guitar, his advice was to get an instrument that the new player liked the look and feel of. This would encourage them to actually practice with it. Solid Advice! My son selected this unit, primarily for the design I think. It does sound good though. It has two pick-ups, and seems to stay in tune. It is constructed well, and should last a long time. His desire to learn to play has rekindled a long forgotten desire in myself to learn to play. I will be going back to the Guitar Center to find myself a nice instrument. I highly recomend this unit, and more importantly, I highly recommend the Guitar Center!

Awesome

By MetalMartyr666

Comments about B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock Electric Bass Guitar:

Wow, What can i say. I just got this bass about 6 months ago and it has been great. All my friends have been telling me about how Warlocks have bad sound and that they only look cool, well i can agree that they are really insanly awesome looking, but it also sounds really good. I would say this is a really good starting metal bass. In a while im gonna try to save up for a Traben Pheonix though.

Good but should wait

By Griffin

from New Mexico Alb.

Comments about B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock Electric Bass Guitar:

I right now own an Ibanez, like the one from the starter kit, i believe its an easier starter bass than this one, but this one is nice and i would recommend it, but if i were you i'd try it before i bought it, cause just cause something looks cool, doesn't mean it will sound as good as it looks.

nope, aint happening

By metalhead11904

from summerville, SC

Comments about B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock Electric Bass Guitar:

when you read this dont get me wrong, i like bc rich. they make quality instruments, that look cool, sound good, and are great for the style i play, metal. but there cheaper instruments are not what you want. this bass may look cool, but it sounds bad. this guitar is basically fancy looking, painted plywood. i like bc rich, but if you want one of their bass', get a one that is of the higher quality they have. you can find them for a better good price also, any where, and especially at guitar center.

An amazing bass perfect for metal

By SyncholeBassist

from East Providence, RI

Comments about B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock Electric Bass Guitar:

The Bronze Warlock is a great bass guitar. It has a great sound for playing metal music. The only thing is like alot of other B.C. Richs it can break easily. But overall its an amazing bass and has a great deep sound.

Some Problems

By Abominable Dr.Phibes

from Sacramento,Ca

Comments about B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock Electric Bass Guitar:

B.C. Rich makes good basses.but this one isn't good at all.it has major fret buzz on the first 4 frets on all strings. the input jack is really loose i tried fixing it and it becomes loose again.the pickups are good and have a good "raw" sound.but the body and neck is disappointing.

I Agree with Bobby Brown

By {sic} Bassist99

from Los Angeles, CA

Comments about B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock Electric Bass Guitar:

It look sic but im sorry to say its too long, too heavy, and the string are raised too high, tend too make a wierd sound when you hammer on, poor wiring in a few years it tends to short out. My biggest problems was getting a case for the darn thing coffin cases are rarely in stock and gig bags cant carry this instrument. On the sound side it didnt meet my expectations, not very good sound, ALWAYS flat, and the G string tends to pop off the bottom of the fret board when you hammer on also. If I were you i go for an Epiphone TGibson Thunderbird, way better bass and will carry the style of thi bass and more.

decent for beginners

By slayer741

from Grand Rapids, Michigan

Comments about B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock Electric Bass Guitar:

This is very heavy and awkward to play while standing. The neck is fairly thick and for players who have smaller hands or are inexperienced it can be difficult to reach all of the frets. Unless the bass is set-up exactly right many of the frets buzz. It is durable and would be worth buying if you are just getting started or need more of a short term instrument. If you play hard rock or metal it can give a decent sound. Any jazz, funk, or classic rock played on this bass will not sound very good.

Sounds great, but the WEIGHT...

By H.Cee

from TX

Comments about B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock Electric Bass Guitar:

I have had this bass for a week. It sounds great, stays in tune well, looks hot, etc. The main problem I'm having is its weight. I'm a skinny chick but I'm not weak, however this Warlock is a pain to play standing up. The way the straps attach to it, and the weight of the neck, cause the bass to "tip" downward while I'm standing up, which in turn causes me to finger the incorrect fret. I'm sure this will get better with practice on my part, but I think if you are just starting out with a bass, go with something lighter.

Its ok

By mclaughlin

from Mount laurel New jersey

Comments about B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock Electric Bass Guitar:

Ive played alot of BC.Rich basses and this one has good tone but the platinum bass is better than this one. It is still a good buy but if you can find a platinum it would be a better bass to buy.

Looks Aren't Everything

By Unknown

from SLC Utah

Comments about B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock Electric Bass Guitar:

There are many better choices then the BC Rich. This bass is very fragile, and cant take much abuse. Its pick-ups and its looks are just about its only good traits Its tone isnt that good, and it doesnt sound very warm. I would recomend saving up longer to get a Fender P-Bass or a Jazz bass.

So releived

By Schecterbassist

from Navarre, FL

Comments about B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock Electric Bass Guitar:

I am so releived that I didn't bbuy this bass. I was thinking of getting this bass, but also the Schecter Omen 4. I am so releived that I purchased the Schecter. I played this bass at Guitar Center, and it was horrible. The neck felt horrible, and everything else. The only actual B.C. Rich bass I would buy, would have to be the Mockingbird bass.
