I bought one last year, and it lasted for about 6 months before it just stopped working. I was happy with the tone while it lasted. The knobs were jamming up and not spinning properly. And the effect messes with your equalization.
I bought this pedal a couple of months ago and have been very impressed. It sounds amazing clean and distorted. It really throws your sound around the room. It is very easy to control and you can even move the knobs with your foot. I really like the blinking blue LED light because it shows exactly how fast your sound is spinning. Great for the musician who is on a dark stage. Only complaint is the noise it makes when the overdrive is on. It is very subtle though. Once you start playing the feedback goes away.
This pedal may not be the best Univibe emulator on the market, but the best ones cost more than twice as much as this pedal, and aren't more than twice as good. With the speed around 4 and the intensity maxed out you get great Hendrix and Trower-esque tones. A host of other fine tones are available if you screw around. With only two knobs, great sound are easy to dial in. It's even a fun pedal to look at! I have several other BBE pedals, and the other ones have noise issues. This one seems to be relatively quiet. If you want your tunes to have an occasional stoney tinge, pick up a Soul Vibe today.
