Product Information

A monstrously powerful set of features for killer sound and looks.

The Warbeast NJ Deluxe electric guitar from B.C. Rich boasts an ebony fretboard and full pearl binding on the headstock, neck and body. Other deluxe features include neck-through constuction, EMG pickups and a Floyd Rose Original Tremolo.

Neck-Through Construction
B.C. Rich is known as one of the pioneers in neck through construction. They use it on many of their guitars, because it provides the best possible sustain, resonance, comfort and access to higher frets. Neck-through has long been considered the premium construction method for high-end guitars. This construction starts with a long piece (or pieces) of premium North American maple. That piece runs from the tip of the headstock to the strap button on the opposite end of the guitar. This means that the headstock, fingerboard, pickups and bridge all are mounted to this single sound foundation. Sonically it is a difference you can hear. The neck-through construction also allows more of the body and neck to be cut away at the neck joint, which provides comfort no bolt-on or set-neck could offer. You will find the neck through feature on all top of the line B.C. Rich models.

EMG-81 (bridge position)
The EMG-81 is a high output pickup designed especially for the lead guitarist. The 81 is at its best for high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume. Whether you're playing power rock and roll, or overdriving your amp, there's a razor sharp attack, and incredible sustain for brilliant soloing. If you're looking for exceptional qualities in a rock pickup, the EMG-81 is the one.

EMG-85 (neck position)
Although the EMG-85 has more measurable output than the 81, its frequency response and string interface are different. The 85 uses two Alnico magnet loaded coils with a wide aperture to maintain a beefy low end and a fatter top end. Because of a more natural tone, it works great as a rhythm and blues pickup because it has loads of output but isn't muddy.

Flat Top
Some of the B.C Rich shapes are offered with a flat top. The flat top styling gives a bold and pristine look to the edge of the instrument's shape. Usually when the flat top feature is used, B.C. Rich adds a stripe of single or multi-ply binding around the edge in a complementary color. The binding on a flat top finishes off the edge cleanly and gives a sleek and clean look to the guitar.

The Rise of The Warbeast
What do you get when a ruthless Warlock picks a vile Beast to bear its spawn? A Warbeast of course! The twisted minds at B.C. Rich combined the ultra-in-your-face upper and lower horns from the Beast with the more comfortable rear of a Warlock - there's a joke in there somewhere... The Warbeast however, is not joking! Ripping the heads off of lesser axes - the Warbeast is on the prowl.

a superior guitar and one to be reckoned with

I find the emg 81/85 pick ups have a wide tone range and have excellent sustain without too much feed back and the floyd rose is pretty much fun to mess with. the flat top style with full pearl binding adds a great sinister feel. The neck through concsruction cuts away at the body and the neck greatly enough so that there is a good feel for soloing on the upper frets which are normally harder to reach with set necks and bolt ons. overall this is one of my favorite guitars and i highly recomend it to any players of various genres because the tone provided from the emg pick ups works well with those various genres(mainly metal, rock, blues, etc.) great guitar lol

The Best of the Beast

I was looking for a Guitar with EMG pickups, floyd rose, and I found this guitar, for long time I wanted a Warlock, but this looks better, gets the best from the Beast and the Best from the warlock, the quality is really good and looks amazing with the full pearl binding on the headstock, neck and body. One of the things that is hard to find in another guitar is the neck-through constuction, this makes sound great (never heard before in other guitar this amazing resonance) and also makes very confortable to play in the higher frets. the pickups are the best, "0" noise, and a lot of power, the best for Rock or Metal, but also gives a perfect sound for clear guitar. This guitar looks as it sounds or sound like it look, just AMAZING!! If you buy it don't forget to get a hard case, will be very dificult to protect all the corners in a bag, I bought the X-175 Coffin Case and fit perfectly.

sink your claws into this one

ok, firtst of all ill boast on the subliminal ebony fretboard. GREAT board if you like silky, rich wood. and the grover tuners? BEST tuners money can buy i think and a shame that you dont get to rely on them more bc theyre really nice. the emgs are nice, wide ranged active HBs and yeah they do sound pretty decent clean considering they were destined for metalheads. of course the original FR trem is the best floating trem you can get. my opinion. the mahagony wood is very high grade and feels very hard but allows for much resonance that is noticable over cheaper woods. you can pick a string on this thing and the sustain would make stevie ray vaughan jealous. as far as quality in the binding im giving it 4 stars bc i had some minor but noticable flaws. no biggie though bc ive seen it on schecters too. its not american class so every axe isnt going to be perfect as far as thebinding goes. but the action was setup decent. if you like your action a little higher. higher action does mean better tone quality in case you didnt know. paintjobs great and the neck isnt very slim but youll get used to the thickness after a couple of hours so dont fret it, just fret it...youll like this guitar if you play any kind of music. dont let the metal pickups and shape talk you out of an affordable high end guitar.
