B.C. Rich NJ Deluxe Jr. V Electric Guitar - Mint Condition

$703.99

Product Information

B.C. Rich has graced the NJ Deluxe Jr. V Electric Guitar with an ebony fretboard and full pearl binding on the headstock, neck and body. Want more? How about neck through construction, EMG pickups and a Floyd Rose Original tremolo?

Neck-Through Construction
B.C. Rich is known as one of the pioneers in neck through construction. They use it on many of their guitars, because it provides the best possible sustain, resonance, comfort and access to higher frets. Neck-through has long been considered the premium construction method for high-end guitars. This construction starts with a long piece (or pieces) of premium North American maple. That piece runs from the tip of the headstock to the strap button on the opposite end of the guitar. This means that the headstock, fingerboard, pickups and bridge all are mounted to this single sound foundation. Sonically it is a difference you can hear. The neck-through construction also allows more of the body and neck to be cut away at the neck joint, which provides comfort no bolt-on or set-neck could offer. You will find the neck through feature on all top of the line B.C. Rich models.

EMG-81 (bridge position)
The EMG-81 is a high output pickup designed especially for the lead guitarist. The 81 is at its best for high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume. Whether you're playing power rock and roll, or overdriving your amp, there's a razor sharp attack, and incredible sustain for brilliant soloing. If you're looking for exceptional qualities in a rock pickup, the EMG-81 is the one.

EMG-85 (neck position)
Although the EMG-85 has more measurable output than the 81, its frequency response and string interface are different. The 85 uses two Alnico magnet loaded coils with a wide aperture to maintain a beefy low end and a fatter top end. Because of a more natural tone, it works great as a rhythm and blues pickup because it has loads of output but isn't muddy.

Flat Top
Some of the B.C Rich shapes are offered with a flat top. The flat top styling gives a bold and pristine look to the edge of the instrument's shape. Usually when the flat top feature is used, B.C. Rich adds a stripe of single or multi-ply binding around the edge in a complementary color. The binding on a flat top finishes off the edge cleanly and gives a sleek and clean look to the guitar.

BANGING BC RICH

I originally was skeptical about the whole idea of buying a BC Rich, for years I've put down the brand for it's low end guitars, but this guitar is so great it;s not even funny. The guitar itself looks amazing. V shaped guitars have always been recognized to be some of the coolest looking guitars, and BC Rich really made this one look very simple but it just has an attractive look to it. The headstock has this cool Kirk Hammett feel to it and it really makes you look like a serious player. The sound is unlike any BC Rich I've played before. I HAVE and own played better guitars, but this one is really up there. I plugged it in to an 140 watt cabinet amp my friend owns and was highly impressed with the minimal buzz and almost zero feedback, compared to the Warlock I tried out (which in my opinion is terrible), this thing is godly. The Original Floyd Rose, absolutely superb, but that's given. The EMG's give a crisp and heavy sound but surprisingly can be pretty versatile, I wouldn't suggest playing this guitar clean though, just saying it's possible without sounding completely boring. I would suggest playing this on a decent amp, no 15 watt Line 6 Spiders. You can but, why when you can at least get a Mesa combo, which is what I use for when I'm just chilling around my house. The neck is comfortable, very easy to solo on. Big relief from my Schecter, which feels like a baseball bat (I'm a big fan of thin necks). The only complaint is that the guitar will get uncomfortable to use at times, but it's something that you can easily get use to. This is great for ANY type of metal, whether it be something mildly heavy like Black Album Metallica, or something mind blowing like Nile, this guitar will give you the bang for your buck. Seriously, get it.

The real Son of the BEAST

I like a guitar that has comfort in the neck, has great output in the pickups, and looks like it was forged from the depths of the underworld. I can honestly say that this guitar brings it all. I bought this guitar a few weeks ago, although mine is a little different since mine has the signature widow headstock and diamond inlays on the fret board. The neck is very nice i wouldn't say its the best but it is very playable, unlike one of the Jackosons I picked up for the same price. I also own an old Ibanez Roadstar II edition (made in japan) and I think the neck on it is a little easier to play, but the neck on this guitar comes very close. The pickups on this beast of a guitar are pretty amazing. They are great for really heavy distortion and deafening volume. The bridge pickup has some really brutal output and is great for that crunchy metal chugging. The neck pickups are just as SICK but in their own way. When you wanna kick it into shred mode just flip the three way toggle switch to the bridge pickup and start rippin it up cause it sounds amazing. I find that this guitar can also do clean and sounds best when you use the neck pickup or both at the same time. This guitar has a really simple yet dark look to it that really catches the eye. The pearl against the onyx really makes it stand out amongst other guitars and either option you get for the headstock (widow, or slanted) has its part in making this guitar look very wicked. Overall if you want to play some really heavy music and look sinister while you do it I definitely recommend buying this guitar. Still not convinced? Stop into your local GC and try it out. Keep the music alive!
