  • It's a solid guitar

As reviewed by Joe on 5/13/2015

First BC Rich guitar I've owned, and out of my collection it's honestly my favorite. It's got a pretty hot bridge pickup that I swapped to a Duncan Distortion. That brings me to my only real complaint about this guitar. The wiring is pretty shoddy, and it quickly became a hassle to swap the 'pup. Other than that, it's a Floyd equipped guitar, so you've got your work cut out for you when it comes time for maintenance, but it's not difficult after the first few times. Overall, i'd recommend this to anyone looking for a new guitar to add to their collection

  • Great Guitar

As reviewed by Guadalupe on 11/11/2014

This is my first B.C Rich brand guitar and i`m extremely happy with my Mockingbird FR. This guitar came out earlier this year (2014), so there wasn`t a lot of reviews of this particular guitar on the web. I decided to go ahead and take a chance, and i`m glad i did. The pros of this guitar are as follows, Sturdy body, fast and comfortable neck, great sustain, decent pick ups and a great tone. And of course the design of the guitar is beautiful. On that note, the guitar color is more of a darker red than the pictures show here on the guitar center website. I play all kinds of styles from blues to heavy metal to some acoustic tunes. This guitar sounds great with all of them. The floyd rose special is great as well. However my only complaint about this guitar is on the floyd rose. The locking nuts work properly but the floyd rose bridge tends to get the strings slightly out of tune (And i do mean slightly) when i pull up on the whammy bar. I believe that it`s the bride not going back to it`s original position. When this happens i just press down on the whammy bar and the strings go back in tune (Meaning the bridge resets properly). That`s really my only complaint of this guitar. Like i said, i`m extremely happy and i can honestly recommend it to anyone. 5 Stars
