A hyper-aggressive axe!

The B.C. Rich Draco V is an electric guitar that features maple neck-through construction, a nato mahogany body, and an original Floyd Rose tremolo. With cutting scalloped lines, vertebrae inlay, a twin rail pickup in the neck and a HOT Rockfield Fat Ass pickup in the bridge the Draco looks and sounds just plain mean. Was the Draco's name derived from "Dragon" in Latin - or short for "Draconian"? A fierce mythical creature or excessively harsh punishment can both be used to describe this hyper aggressive axe!

Neck-Through Construction
Neck-Through construction is used on the Draco V because it provides the best possible sustain, resonance, comfort and access to higher frets. Neck-through has long been considered the premium construction method for high-end guitars. This construction starts with a long piece (or pieces) of premium North American maple. That piece runs from the tip of the headstock to the strap button on the opposite end of the guitar. This means that the headstock, fingerboard, pickups and bridge all are mounted to this single sound foundation. Sonically it is a difference you can hear. The neck-through construction also allows deeper cutaways, providing comfort no bolt-on or set-neck could offer.

Rockfield Pickups - Fat Ass and Twin Rail
Bridge Pickup - Fat Ass
Aggressive in its own right, the Rockfield Fat Ass bridge pickup was designed for a specific group players in mind: those with crazy, super acrobatic playing styles. The ones at the gig that make everything look so effortless and easy. As you watch in amazement you say, "Man I need to practice" or, "That's it, man, I quit!" This pickup's custom designed bobbins house larger pole pieces that help transfer string vibration from pulls, bends and leads so the user gets less tonal drop off, better articulation and note definition. The Rockfield Fat Ass has a well balanced overall tone that is mean and bold with major sustain, huge bottom end and cutting mids and highs that jump out at you. Each note is full and rings true from this pickup while you take advantage of a look that is just plain mean and in your face.

Neck Pickup
Great pickup for Bridge or neck but designed to complement the Fat Ass bridge pickup in the neck position. This twin rail pickup, like the bridge position Fat Ass has a full round tone that helps transfer string vibration from pulls, bends and leads so the user gets less tonal drop off and better articulation and note definition. This is made possible by the custom designed bobbins that house the larger pole pieces. Custom wound with a little less bite but still just as aggressive, this pickup has great balance and sustain with a huge low end response and mids and highs that scream and cut for a tone that is truly inspiring.

Flat Top
The Draco V is constructed with a flat top. The flat top styling gives a bold and pristine look to the edge of the instrument's shape. The binding on a flat top finishes off the edge cleanly and gives a sleek and clean look to the instrument.

Wicked!

This guitar is great!! The pick ups rule but when u get it u should change the strings. i personally use thicker strings then the 1s given cause i play metal. The body of this guitar is amazing. But, since the body is flailing out in every which direction, its probably neccesary to get a good case so it doesnt get all roughed up
