comfortable/massive overlay tones

this guitar is one of the best bc rich guitars out there. i highly recomend it to beggining guitarists who are looking for massive tone and metal distortion....i find it best to use a marshall double stack with a Death metal overdrive pedal. this guitar might look uncomfortable to play because the body is big and abstract. but believe me, its not. the guitar is top heavy and seems to sit in your left hand more than it does on your lap.(whle playing sitting down of course) when you stand up...not only is the strap holding it..but it rests nice and easy on your hip. very smooth action and solid bridge. it rarely goes out of tune.

SON OF BEAST

First off, I just have to make one point clear. I don't like B.C. Rich guitars. I think they are bulky, heavy and just downright corny (I don't know why). Of course, the first day I saw this thing, I was amazed. It looked awesome with the red on black plus the sweet body style (the Beast body style is the only one I ever liked, if at all). It's all so simple yet still kicks ass. Humbucker in the bridge and one volume knob. The stock pickup sounds great but I threw in an EMG 81 and it sounds incredible with this guitar. Get ready to shred. The neck feels thin and smooth, sometimes I almost forget the neck is there. I put on some Elixir 11's and the sound I get out of this guitar is spectacular no matter which amp I am playing through. The body shape is awkward, which makes it pretty uncomfortable to sit and play but no worries, that's what we have legs for, to stand and play. And that is where most of the fun lies. It looks awesome, sounds awesome and most importantly, you feel awesome playing it. I wish it was a one-piece but that is my only real problem with this "Beast". That and you can't get a case for it becuz they are sold out everywhere!

Every day is Halloween with this axe...

Based on the BC Rich BEAST, it's got a glossy black finish with blood-red beveling and red bat-wing inlays. OK. Let's not beat around the bush. If you're looking for a serious prog rock/jazz or blues-type guitar...THIS ISN'T IT. However... if you want to play Extreme Metal or Horror Punk... It's a No-Brainer. This axe is big, bulky, and if you swing the wrong way you'll either chip a piece off or poke somebody's eye out. But bottom line, it's fun and cool to play. If you bought this for any other reason than to be a bad-@$$ metal shredder or monster punk rock down-picker, you've wasted your money. But if that's your plan...it's a chick magnet. It has a good solid feel and it's fun to play. I recommend it if your looking to kick @$$ and take names.

Beast

I wish this had a whammy bar. Nice tone, loove the shape it looks so wicked. The only thing is, you cant sit and play this, way too painful. I saw this guitar then bought it about 20 minutes later. I've owned it about 6 months and no problems. It sounds great with god strings.

Not too bad

with the right amp and equipment, you can make this guitar kill. Careful how you play it, sitting down can be a little uncomfortable and standing up takes some time to get used to (due to its unordinary shape) one humbucker is all you need, though i suggest changing them cuz the stock pick-ups are not the greatest but until then, you'll manage. sometimes i feel like the neck is so thin and fragile and kinda worries me that it might break at some point. Overall, great metal guitar for a good price.
