At 10% smaller than his cousin the Beast, the B.C. Rich Avenge SOB is designed to rock! This SOB guitar features rosewood fingerboard, red-edged Beast style headstock, a single high output BDSM humbucker pickup with a single volume, bolt-on neck, black hardware, blood red bevels and beast wing inlay.
So when i went to guitar center i was determined to get this guitar. even though the sales man was trying to get me to get some girly glittery pink one. and i dont regret it AT ALL. I absolutely love this guitar! it has a really good sound to it!! now i just need to find a case o.o its a very attractive guitar hah
This guitar is so smooth and easy to play it is amazing! I knew when I first plugged it into the Line 6 spider III at the store that it was for me ( Ihave the same amp). I was skeptical about a single pickup and no tone knob but I'm telling you it doesnt matter. The high output pick-up delivers such a brutal, withering sound that you will not be dissappointed. The neck is fast and easy to play and the string through bridge is awesome! I play with head phones on quite a bit and let me tell you, you can "feel" every note coming through the body. I will "Never" sell this guitar AND I will be trying out ALL the other BC Rich's I can find in the future. I know there are more expensive guitars out there and I think there is place for all things, I just wanted to tell people that, while this may not be the most expensive axe out there, It feels like it is. good luck and rock on.
What attracted me to this guitar was that it looked really fierce and most everyone I've shown is blown away by how awesome it looks. The look and sound are definitely outfitted for a metal guitar. Unfortunately, the guitar does offer a lot of problems. Swapping out the pickup is imperative. The BDSM pickup gives a fairly poor tone that's unacceptable for a seasoned player. However, the one major problem is that it's a very uncomfortable guitar to play. Regardless of how you play it, if it's on your lap, there will always be one part of your guitar jabbing into your thigh. This goes for any BC Rich Beast and Warbeast guitar. Ultimately, if this is a first guitar for you, it's not a bad choice and for the money. It's actually a pretty good deal so long as you can get past it's various limitations.
