B.C. Rich

The man behind B.C. Rich is Bernardo “Bernie” Chavez Rico, an accomplished flamenco guitar player who seems an unlikely character to develop such radical-looking instruments. The company was launched in the early 1970s and Bernie’s knack for designing instruments with attitude took the world by storm. In the mid 1990s, countless metal musicians had claimed B.C. Rich guitars and basses as their instrument of choice. The company is also known for innovating Invisibolt Technology, which bolts the neck extremely deep into the body compared to the typical neck joint. The low-profile neck heel adds unencumbered high-fret access.
