This complete acoustic guitar pickup system includes the A1.2 endpin preamp and the 22R UST (under saddle transducer). The A1.2-preamp is the little brother of the classic B-Band A2 and is big on classic B-Band sound. The single input A1.2 has a direct frequency response with 24 dB of gain, making a perfect fit with the included B-Band 22R UST (under saddle transducer). The sound reproduction is amazingly pure and clear.
The B-Band A1.2 comes with a volume control that simply mounts at the inside edge of the sound hole with adhesive. The 9-volt-battery-powered electronics are mounted in a small tube that is directly coupled with a high quality endpin jack, making an all-in-one structure.
The B-Band 22R UST (Under Saddle Transducer) is the finest pickup choice for acoustic steel or nylon string guitars. The unique Emfit film material used exclusively in every B-Band pickup has proven to be unsurpassed in delivering absolute acoustic tone and the individual characteristics of the instrument.
The guitar part is light in mass, adding very little weight to the instrument. Includes all mounting hardware, box-tight battery holder and wire harness.

Due to high humidity in my area I have found that laminated guitars survive the best in my home, so after owning all of the major brands my main guitar now is a Goya dreadnaught that I have had since the '80's. I used to sell this brand and I kept the best sounding one for myself. I play out a lot with this guitar and so need it to be amped. I have used different magnetic sound hole pickups over the years but all have the characteristic electric sound that I am getting tired of, so decided to try a ust. I selected the B-Band because it is supposed to be a different material from the usual piezo ust's that have that characteristic rubber band sound. It took less than an hour to install (I have previous experience doing this). A couple of strings were out of balance but I followed the instructions and put some pieces of paper under those (under the saddle) and to my surprise that corrected the problem. The output was strong and balanced. However, the sound of the wound strings was extremely rubber bandy (using DR Sunbeam strings), the worst I have ever heard. I played it through different pre-amps including the Fishman Aura Spectrum which helped, and I tried blending it with a sound hole pickup, but it did not sound acceptable to my ears. The next day I removed it. I dislike the electric sound hole sound less than I dislike the rubber band sound. I had previously installed a D-tar 18 volt Wave Length ust in my classical guitar and only get a hint of the rubber band sound with that. Someday I might switch the D-tar over to the Goya to see if it sounds good in it too. Or I might try the K&K soundboard transducer, but one of theirs that I had tried on an autoharp was a disappointment (later replaced that with a magnetic pup that sounds great). Sorry to leave a bad review. This pickup has received many very good reviews so I am willing to give it the benefit of the doubt and assume that it just does not agree with my particular guitar and setup, not that it is an intrinsically bad pickup.
