Extend the low-frequency response of any MX series full-range system to its lowest octave with the B-52 MX-18S 18" 550W Subwoofer. The MX-18S uses an American-made cast-frame 18" subwoofer with a 3.5" high-temperature polyamide voice coil. The rugged speaker cabinet features metal bar handles, 16-gauge perforated steel grille, rubber feet, and protective metal corners. Finished with impact-resistant black carpet. Input connectors include 2 - 1/4" metal phone jacks and a genuine Neutrik NL4 connector. The B-52 subwoofer speaker has a polemount adapter that makes it easy to install a metal tube to support the MX-15.

    Got rid of some really expensive Powered EV's because they didnt quite live up to the price tag...so i bought these along with mx 15's and two monitors....bottom line...these seemed to have more kick if you can beleive that!...so for 1/3 the price of the big boys..you will be able to sleep at night. So if you play the typical 100-300 people club or bar..anything more is overkill...nobody will know the difference!...havent tried em outside..but to be honest i have a feeling they will do the job....unless your van halen these will work for everyday band...and then some

    I've used a pair if these 18s for the last 7 years inside and outdoors and never had a single problem with them,until someone broke in my equipment trailer and stole them in the middle of the night...They do hit pretty good as long as you give them at least 250-300 clean REAL watts each...I'm happy as hell they're still available,and I've got another pair coming!!

  • Big little sub

    after much research on subs and value performance ratio I decided to take a chance on these for my rock bands p.a. system.I use JBL JRX-125 double 15 mains on top with a Crown XLS-802 in stereo at 4 ohms at about 800 watts each. I run the MX-18S subs both on a single QSC RMX-1450 in bridge mode that gets hem about 700 watts each never clipping the amp and these things are very impressive.They added Much richness and Plenty of thump to our sound, more than you might expect from a relatively small to medium size cabinetat this price.build quality is very good and looks nice also.I will definately be Buying more equipment from B-52 including more of these subs.
