Takes the traditional folded horn design to the next level.
Built to withstand the abuse of the road, the B-52 LX-18 V2 Subwoofer is backed by a lifetime cabinet construction warranty. An internal compression chamber provides intense, clean and controlled bass. At the heart of the LX-18 V2 is the B-52 18-200X with a cast-aluminum frame, massive 200-oz. magnet, double spider anti-rocking surround and innovative 4" dual-layered, tempered voice coil. Also features 4" heavy-duty casters for ease of mobility and increased cabinet longevity and a rock-solid tilt-back metal bar handle for increased mobility.
B-52 18-200X Subwoofer The B-52 18-200X 18" subwoofer features a cast-aluminum frame, 200-oz. magnet structure, double spider anti-rocking surround, a bumped back plate for greater excursion and 4" dual-layered tempered voice coil. The voice coil is wound with 4 layers of 25-gauge copper wire, optimally sized for this motor.
Internal compression chamber The B-52 18" subwoofer's acoustic load is controlled by a specially designed horn and compression chamber that minimizes the excursion of the driver while maximizing the system's output. The optimally sized acoustic aperture of the compression chamber forms the throat of the horn and helps to force air through the horn at an increased velocity and pressure. The compression chamber optimizes the horn's output and the acoustic impedance seen by the B-52 18-200L transducer. It is this acoustic impedance transforming "phase-plug" design that enables the LX-Series subwoofers to achieve amazing and unprecedented output levels.

Only Compliments...
This is a great sub! I have used a pair of the older SRX 18" JBL's for years, but nothing like the B-52! Yeah, it's a little on the big side, but if you don't want to compromise your sound with a "compact sub" this is the one! It will melt your face!! Also usable as an emergency shelter / shoe rack!
Use a good x-over and you can't wrong!!!

Speakers that deliver the punch !!
I've been a Mobile Dj for 15yrs and I've heard my share of bass cabinets. It wasn't until 2yrs ago a fellow Dj friend of mine turn me on to the B52 Long throws LX - 18. This speaker cabinet is only bass cabinet that I use for my Dj Gigs. The sound, long throw, and professional appearence clearly draws the line, making it the best bass cabinet I've ever heard or seen.

B-52 LX-18 V2 18" 1000W Folded Horn Subwoofer
Wow! For several years our church's sound system lacked a subwoofer, so I decided to go shopping. This seemed like a decently priced sub, subwoofer, so we bought it, and put it to use. It added so much to the sound! The best part was that it was so easy to set up. It uses a lot of power for a piece of church equipment, but it is well worth it.
18" means it can even fit on stage and not take up too much space.
If you mic up the drums, especially the kick drum, this sub will make it feel like you are sitting on top of the drum.
Overall, i think this sub adds so much depth and layer to a live sound mix. Well worth the price.

ok subs
well, i listened to these in the store, for lack of a better review, they sound like crap. not literally. anyway, they ran some metal song through a sound board, i set everything at medium setting turned them up and all you could hear was the distortion, turned the main volume down and bass on the board up, sounded a little better. I've definitely heard better, though these things are built like a rock. they will last probably near forever as long as the user takes good care of them.
