  • LX1515

As reviewed by Team_Canada on 1/6/2010

I purchased one single LX-1515 for a sidefill for an upcoming show. I was extremely impressed when I plugged my iPod into a 50 watt (mono) amp, into this speaker just to test it out and it blew doors (and nearly my hearing). The sound quality was very good despite my half-ass setup and the dispertion was incredible, even in my 10,000 sft. building. The whole time I was shaking my head trying to imagine these are rated for 800-1000 watts (depending on version) and I was giving it only 50.... wow. Bring your ear-plugs.

  • Master Blasters. Putting regular speakers to shame every day.

As reviewed by Dub King on 5/5/2011

The B-52 LX1515 will forever be a classic PA cabinet. Brutish simplicity meets engineering excellence, that's for sure. These B-52's rock solid and flat down to about 80 Hz, at which point a bit of EQ can stretch the linear response right down to 20 Hz, if you please. I use my B-52's with a Crown XTI-1000 amp which is more than enough to generate obscene SPLs if desired, but I use it as an audiophile rig and as a studio monitor because it is just as capable at moderate volumes and exhibits all the qualities of a price-no-object audiophile speaker system, at about 1/10th the price.

  • Good speakers for the money

As reviewed by Dave on 9/26/2006

My band has a pair of the LX-1515 and we are pretty happy with them. They are good quality cabinets and work well for a 'hobby level' band. We have had to replace a horn due to an overheating issue. (the wires melted) and a woofer because we got a little crazy at an outdoor show and blew it out...our fault all the way. The built in crossover seems to work well and the Speakon connections are a very nice feature. Overall, I would recomed these to anyone looking for a rehersal PA or basic set-up for occasional gigs.
