Friendly features combined with the latest advancements in preamp technology makes the LS-100 amp head an outstanding choice for the professional player and the weekend warrior. The clean channel now has the exclusive B-52 "Mid Cut" feature. This push-button allows you to select the classic, warm vintage sound or a pristine, almost acoustic-like tone with tons of headroom. • Excellent half stack for it's price

As reviewed by jeremy_russell89 on 10/24/2008

I bought this half about a month ago, and I've already bought the additional cab for it. I've used it in 2 gigs, and the sound quality and osund reach is outstanding. I definately reccommend this half to any musicians looking to up their single or combo amp to something with a lot more power thats not going to break the bank.

  • Great Amp For everything!!

As reviewed by Adam on 2/16/2011

I got this amp for christmas like last year and once i took it out of the box and set it up with the metal settings in the manual i was blown away. After playing around with it for a few months I decided to see how my Metal Muff w/ Topboost would hold up with it. GEEEEZZZ!!!!! SOOO much low end came out and i was like yESSS. Its got such a rich distortion sound and the clean is reallly smooth and silky. I play through a greg bennett rl3 with duncan humbuckers and its unreal how good that guitar sounds through this amp. One thing i did notice is that after lots of unloading and reloading in a truck for practices and shows the vinyl wears and tears but hey thats what happens from use you know? Another thing that really set this amp right was the volume. its loud and i mean loud to were it has shaken my house. Get this amp if your need a halfstack. its great. =D

  • Fantastic!

As reviewed by Mike Ox Long on 7/4/2011

This truely is a great stack. I purchased this used, both the head and matching cab, from Guitar Center. Unfortunatley they did not give me the footswtich pedal but whatever. Still sounds great!! I play mostly metal and rock, Slayer and Megadeth sound great when an EXTERNAL PEDAL is used, i would not suggest trying to get that heavy punchy sound with the built in overdrive. It's an overdrive, not a full on distortion... But it can be used for any kind of Led Zepp or Aerosmith or Scorpions kind of sound!! My pedals sound great through the clean chanel so that i can get that heavy metal sound i want and it sounds great!! Deffinately not just for rock! This thing can get heavy and low as long as you turn down the mids and treb and turn up the bass. It gets very loud, 100 watts goes a long way. I normaly have my pedals in and on the clean chanel and jhave both the clean volume halfway and the master volume halfway when i am practicing in my room and its perfect. I really dont know what happens if you turn it up almost all the way, but i strongly recomend keeping the garage door closed so you dont set off car alarms...
