  • Powerful, Strong, and Quality

As reviewed by Matthew Jones on 12/19/2007

Lets start with the grill, it's strong enough to be dropped face first and protect the speakers but not guarded off enough to muffle the sound. Next the speakers, these 4 speakers put out amazing power for the price range along with quality sound, together these are enough to make your whole house shake(Asuming you don't have a mansion)and have great sound. I don't have much to say about the rubber coating becuase i'm to careful with mine to scratch it but the corners hold up well along with the wood. All and all it's a great cabinet, I suggest you get it.

  • this cab is the best bang for your buck .done deal

As reviewed by raven douglas on 7/5/2010

2 weeks ago i walked out of guitar center with my new ibanez toneblaster head, and b-52 cab.i have already reviewed the awsome amp head, now for the cab.i went with the b-52 over the matching ibanez cab because its just an awsome cab for the same money as the stale sounding ibanez cab.400 watts and stereo to mono switch is a good place to start.then i plugged in my purple ltd ec1000.this cab just rocks.the lows are well defined with out becoming sludge when you set the volume knob to the cops are on the way position.the highs just layed right in .i gave this cab 150 watts of earsplitting drive and it took it like a champ.i cant believe 250 bucks bought such an amazing cab.i had this for 6 days and went and ordered the b-52 bottom cab..might as well go for swat team volume..go check one out.who needs a 700 dollar cab with this well built gem available to any musician.i cant say enough good things about this piece of gear...awsome job b-52.

  • Surprisingly Amazing!

As reviewed by A. Grubb on 7/19/2010

I couldn't believe the quality of this cabinet! I was at my local Guitar Center, doing some research for a tube head, and I was playing a few different heads, before I came across this cab with a Triple Rectifier sitting on top. I have many friends who have B-52 cabinets and love them, but with the price only being $250, I was skeptical. I turned on the Recto and let the tubes warm up, grabbed a Dean V, and went to town. Now remember, I wasn't playing a Marshall MG head or a Crate Flexwave, it was a fire-breathing Mesa/Boogie Triple Rectifier...and I only have one word to describe it; W-O-W. It was so punchy and tight, it never got muddy, even with the gain all the way up and the harmonics lasted for days. Even with the volume cranked up, this 400 watt cabinet fully handled the 14 tubes of the Triple Recto like a pro. I've played through Marshall 1960A's and Mesa/Boogie 4x12s, and while I'm not saying this cabinet is better, B-52 has made a cabinet that can really run with the big dogs.
