The B-52 LS-100 Guitar Amp Head represents the latest in the ever expanding line of highly acclaimed B-52 guitar amps. Friendly features combined with the latest advancements in preamp technology makes the LS-100 amp head an outstanding choice for the professional player and the weekend warrior. The clean channel now has the exclusive B-52 "Mid Cut" feature. This push-button allows you to select the classic, warm vintage sound or a pristine, almost acoustic-like tone with tons of headroom. The overdrive channels go from moderate classic breakup to monstrous gain, totally controllable thanks to the individual gain and master controls for each overdrive mode. The overdrive channels now feature the new, B-52 assignable Contour control. This allows you to preset the Contour control and have it automatically activate on the gain channel of your choice. You can set one overdrive channel for a punchy midrange tone with the Contour off and turn the Contour on the other overdrive channel for a massive, totally scooped out metal tone.

Whether you are playing to a stadium crowd of 50,000 or practicing at home in your garage, the LS-100 will produce awesome crunch, smooth mids and crystal-clean highs. It is also capable of producing massive amounts of distortion, perfect for any style from blues to metal.

  • Great amp

As reviewed by Ryan Deusenberry on 2/17/2010

I just traded in my Carvin SX 300 amp head, due to it couldn't handle my pedals and it did suck. This amp kicks some serious butt. It can handle my pedals and it really beefed up my sound. This defintly one great amp. Well worth the money. It can compete with the big boys. I recommend you get one.

  • Great amp at a cheap price

As reviewed by Jordan on 9/20/2009

This amp is truly great. Has a awesome clean channel, and even better drive channels. Reverb is nice and its loud as crap. I cant turn it above 4 in a 100x40 room. Great, great amp. If you're looking for a live, or even practice head, you're good to go.

  • decent for the price

As reviewed by Lance on 10/8/2010

nice amp if your looking for cheap one for shows, handles gain from my pedals good and has more than enough power for smaller shows that arnt mic'd i also have a 1980's jackson reference 50 and that wins out but its a tube amp. quality on the b-52 is ok, living in a small town and having to travel 100+ miles to play with simular genre of bands (hometown is mostly punk) so there is some wear and tear that is bound to happen with you throw a whole bands gear in the back of a pickup and stack everything like a game of tetris but for a good second amp or gigging amp it'll do everything you need. reverb is ok, deffenetly not fender reverb quality.
