This pedal is so easy to work with m and very light. Despite drum gear being a personal issue with different drummers, the Axis X-L is the best on the market. I have owned one for 10 years and I've never had trouble with it.Highly recommended for any serious drummer.

So at first, this pedal was the greatest thing next to a kick drum. So smooth, not like my Iron Cobra Jr. Double pedal, which squeaked and rattled to no end. When I bought my new kit, I made sure that the hardware around it matched in quality. I had read many reviews, and this pedal was just as highly rated as the DW 9000 and Tama Iron Cobra single pedals, so given that I knew I wanted to learn doubles, the Longboard seemed the way to go. I have since then learned to do doubles, which it is fantastic for. But here's the deal. PROS: Light, fast, durabled CONS: During the recording of our latest studio album, we noticed a very apparent click sound in the kick track. Multiple mic placements, EQ's, etc.... could not fix the problem. After closer inspection of the pedal, even though the heel was tightened down with the hex screws, the board tilted side to side, causing the click. In order to record, I had to change my footing to be all the way to the right edge to avoid the click. Word of warning, not sure if it is just my pedal or not, but if you plan to record, you may want to consider a more traditional, more highly adjustable pedal.
