When I dicided to make the change from DW chain drive pedals to Axis direct drive pedals I was unsure what to expect. I found out quickly that if I was going to use an Axis double kick pedal it was a must to have the Axis hi-hat stand as well. A standard hi-hat stand doesn't work well with the Axis longboard double pedal not only because the angle is completely different, but the overall feel of the pedal is not the same as a standard board chain drive. I thought that it would take me a while to get used to using a direct drive pedals, but within about 10 minutes of playing with the pedals I was quick to find that I had been missing out for many years. The precision and feel of Axis pedals is amazing and I have now begun a mission to allow as many people as possible to play my pedals. Every person thus far has been amazed and now wants to make the switch themselves. Light weight and strong, Axis is the only pedals and stands that I will use. The machined aluminum not only makes for a great quality product, but if you ever need to replace a part you can be assured that you will not have to replace the entire stand or pedal and you can fix it yourself. Over all, for me, Axis is the only way to go!!!!!!!
