Overview

The Aviom A-16II Personal Mixer allows individual performers to create custom monitor mixes tailored to their individual needs. Designed for use in live performance or in the studio, the A-16II Personal Mixer is a 16-channel digital mixer which gives each performer completely independent control over channel volume, grouping, pan, and stereo spread, as well as master volume and tone. Every performer gets a completely customized monitor or cue mix. Each user can save and recall up to sixteen custom mixes as presets in their Personal Mixer.

The stereo output from the A-16II can be used to drive virtually any output device--from wired or wireless in-ears or headphones to powered floor wedges, an amplifier, or spot monitors.

Audio is taken from an existing console, using a combination of up to 16 direct outs, inserts, auxes, or groups. These sixteen channels are fed to a Pro16 Input Module, such as the AN-16/i, and are then distributed digitally to an unlimited number of Personal Mixers using Cat-5e cables. Set-up is simple and quick.

Personal Mixers can be daisy-chained or connected in parallel using an A-Net Distributor. Parallel connections also allow power to be supplied to the mixers over the Cat-5e cable (included). The A-16II can be mounted on a standard mic stand or music stand using the MT-1 and EB-1 mounting accessories.

expensive and cheap construction

By Jeff

from Oklahoma

The Avoim is very convenient and helps to have the band mix themselves. however for the price the headphone amp is not near powerful enough and many musicians run out of headroom very quickly. also when the warranty runs out and you need one fixed, they charge 100$ just to even look at it, that's before they even fix it. I had three units go down in the period of one month.

Problem solver

By Daniel Parker

from Sparks, Nevada

I first became aware of the Aviom A-16II personal mixer from a sound engineer at a local church. They have been using the system for about 10 years and have found it to be nothing but reliable. Our church started with 6 of the personal mixers,an input module and Ethernet distributor. The results are awesome, the stage volume was reduced drastically, plus the musicians are thrilled on how well they can hear and the fact they control their own mix, without affecting the front of house sound. The system was easy to install and learn, especially with all of the YouTube videos on the Aviom System. We now would like to outfit the five singers with the personal mixers, approximately $2000 additional cost, which is the only down side of the Aviom system, the overall cost. Behringer does make a similar system for a fraction of the overall cost, compared to Aviom. I have no knowledge how well their system works, but do know that the two systems are not compatible, as the Aviom digital signal is proprietary. Guitar Center in Reno was awesome, as they were very competitive on their pricing, plus they had some used Aviom equipment listed on their web page, which helped me keep the cost down. Five star rating, as the system was easy to install, easy to use and worked as promised.

LiftKeys

By Bill Kirkman

from Waxhaw, NC

Love it. Nothing better than having your own custom mix and not having to bother the sound tech for monitor control. Cuts down on stage volume which eliminates most stage feedback. 16 channels are more than enough for most live set ups. Takes a little getting used to the "in ear" feel. Once you've used the Aviom system a while, you'll never want traditional stage monitors again.

GREAT MONITORING SYSTEM!

By DrumrDude01

from Mississippi

We recently moved into a new LARGE worship center and the praise band was told we would be using an in-ear system. Since I had only used floor monitors I was against the idea but was willing to give them a try and boy am I glad!!! I wish I had this 20 years ago. The Idea that each band member can control their personal mix is FANTASTIC! Try it you'll like it!
