  • Eleven Rack

As reviewed by Janeann Capeci on 12/6/2013

I have been searching and searching for the best tone out of an effects processor and amp modeler. This thing destroys everything else. The boss products work for a while until you play a tube amp and there is just something about how a tube amp feels that nothing compares to. This thing feels like a real amp. I can have a roaring JCM800 patch and roll back on the volume knob and it responds exactly how you would expect it to. The effects are great as well. It does really really well with clean tones and great with rock tones. I wouldn't expect to get a unique Diezel tone of it but if you tinker with it you can get a solid Bogner or rectifier tone. This thing is unbelievably versatile. I can set up and amp and effects in whatever order I want, as well as choose the cab and even mic type I want. It works great with MIDI pedals and it easy to set up. Beyond that, my favorite part is the simplicity of the user interface. I love the sound of my Gmajor 2, but programming a patch and figuring out the menus is like disassembling a bomb. The eleven rack is very straight forward. It also sounds great and works seamlessly with Pro Tools. Never had any issues. If you are in the market for an amp modeler that doesn't sound like you plugged headphones into a boss metal zone then this is for you. I can't say enough good things about it. Hope this helps guys!

  • very cool

As reviewed by DAWN RUSSO on 1/3/2013

I've only had it ten days but so far I'm very happy. A nice bonus is an input that gives you the ability to play your guitars without having to have specific amp sounds for each one. A long time ada mp1 user I wanted to get my first traditional tube amp. I couldn't find anything decent for less than a thousand, amps I loved were over two thousand. I saw/heard a lot of sample sounds on you tube and bought without ever playing an eleven rack. And with pro tools included for the cost of the eleven rack I don't think you can get more for your money. Just look at the cost of pro tools by itself.

  • Software good - 11 rack not worth it.

As reviewed by Matthew Kopecky on 4/23/2014

Compared to 003, the 11 rack has way less input and output options. Though it has plenty of other not so great or useful bells&whistles. The 11 rack feels like it was put together very cheap. As soon as you install 11' software to try out the 11 rack, you're stuck with it, no returns ( how it was explained to me after trying to exchange to just have software ) The 11 rack might very well be worth it if you're planning to use as a pre amp live or something but if using it as hardware to record. Personally not satisfied at all and surprised how much of a down grade in quality there seems to be between the 003 rack and the 11 rack. In short, if you're able to just upgrade the software and don't plan on using rack for live purposes, just go with that and not the rack.
