The Auralex HD-64Gig HoverDeck Isolation Drum Riser was designed for typical four and five-piece drum kits, and utilizes a set of low-profile isolating boards that assemble quickly via strategically placed hook and loop fasteners.
Stages and traditional drum risers sympathetically vibrate (resonate) with the drums and/or PA system. These resonances feed back to the drums and are then picked up by the mics. The Auralex HoverDeck is specifically engineered to reduce coloration from floor resonance by decoupling the drum kit from the structure, resulting in a tighter, more pure sound for both studio and front of house.

We have a stage area in our church, the drums have been amplified due to the hollow nature of our stage construction. We purchased this product in hopes that we could reduce the amplification. The results were amazing. Total volume meter for acoustic trap set were reduced by 15%. Our next step will be to place sound panels round the drums. Our drummer says he can actually hear his drums with a cleaner sharp sound. Great investment!
