Overview

The battery powered Audix UEM81C Condenser Microphone is pre-polarized for use on stage, studio, video or broadcast applications. The Audix UEM81C mix is conveniently powered by one AA battery, so it's not dependent on phantom power. The Audix UEM81C is a microphone well-suited for a wide variety of vocal and instrument applications, and known for its clear, accurate response and flexibility in handling close or distance miking.

With a uniformly controlled cardioid polar pattern, the Audix UEM81C microphone is designed to capture the acoustics of vocals or instruments while at the same time isolating them from the rest of the ambient sound on stage or in the room. The Audix UEM81C microphone has a wide frequency range of 40Hz-20kHz. Audix equips the UEM81C mic with an on/off and bass roll-off switch.

The durable Audix UEM81C battery powered condenser microphone is very easy to position, and manufactured with high standards and tight tolerances. The UEM81C microphone's roadworthy construction includes a machined aluminum body and capsule housing, black e-coat finish, interchangeable threaded capsule, and snap-to-fit composite clip.

An entry level condenser

By David Hammett

from Des Moines, IA

This mic is a decent studio condenser. I've tried using it for live acoustic guitar and the result was some feedback, use a SM57 for that. I own a pair of these mics for recording in the studio and they are good. The bass roll-off is a cool feature, and they work fantastic for drum over-heads, and also for recording the audience at live events for ambience miking.
