A great sounding vocal mic for a friendly price.

Designed, assembled and tested in Wilsonville, Oregon, the OM2 is a dynamic vocal microphone used for a wide variety of live, home and studio applications. The OM2 utilizes a tight, uniform pattern, which helps isolate vocals from the other instruments on stage. This provides outstanding feedback rejection and allows vocals to cut through the mix.

Designed with a slight bass proximity and a tailored mid-range, the OM2 has a full-bodied sound on small to mid-sized PA systems while retaining true sound on large or professional PA systems.

With a wide frequency range of 50 Hz - 16 kHz, the OM2 employs a VLM diaphragm for a clear, precise sound with exceptional voice response. The OM2 is manufactured with a precision die cast zinc alloy body, beautiful black E-coat finish, and durable spring steel mesh grill to provide years of rock solid reliability. Includes heavy-duty nylon clip and carrying pouch.

Audix OM2 Microphone Features:

  • Excellent isolation for maximum feedback rejection, helping vocals cut through the mix
Warm, full sound optimized for small to mid-size PA systems
    Handles high SPLs without distortion
    VLM Capsule

  • Keeps going and going and....

As reviewed by Downshallow on 11/27/2006

I have been using this mic since 1997 and I still use it today for live performances. It is by far my favorite live microphone. The OM2 has been dropped a few times on stage and it just keeps on going! The Audix adds such a warm tone to my vocals and it rarely feeds back, only if the moniter is right in my face. The OM2 does not pick up as much back ground noise as does the SM 58, so your vocals are what comes out the other end and not someone speaking in the background,i.e. your drummer. I also use the OM2 to record isolated instruments. Great microphone!!!! It is definently a road dog..

  • Audix OM-2

As reviewed by Sacred Groove on 11/15/2007

When we went to purchase microphones to complete our PA system, we tried the Audix OM-2's against the Sure 58, and a few other similar microphones. These mics beat out the rest. They sound phenomenal in a live or recording setting. The other amazing thing is how incredibly durable they are. I would recommend Audix mics to anyone. In fact, when we open for other bands, we actually bring our Audix mics with us because we prefer them to others. They're great, and the price is perfect.

  • Excellent Microphone!

As reviewed by Daniel Dockery _ _ on 11/20/2012

Very smooth microphone the suits my deeper voice well. I have always found the Shure SM58 to be a bit boomy and I don't get this with the OM2. Female vocalist will probably not like this mic as it doesn't enhance the low end like a SM58. Very well built, less feedback live for sure, and made in the USA. Shure can't say that!
