I use to use 2 shotgun mics set in an X pattern to shoot corperate speakers or stage performers but with this mic the noise floor and rejection of feed back is so much better. As delivered the polar patern is a quarter of a globe. Anything below or behind the cable end is omited but any sound infront of or above is piced up clearly. works great as a podium mic also. It's not a mic that peaple will pick up and use as an MC mic so it gets left alone. The long cable between the mic and power box makes it nice to get to the battery or roll off switch durring the long performances.
