Compact

Comments about PRO 37 Small Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone:

It's a compact unit, designed to capture the higher frequencies that my large diaphragm condenser mic was not. It's operating voltage (phantom power) is between 11 and 52 Volts, so it's range is a bit wider. I haven't given it the official test yet, but if the spec sheets lend and insight to this mic, it should perform well.

Comments about Audio-Technica PRO 37 Small Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone:

Initially, I bought it to amplify acoustic guitars on stage. In the end it turned out to be a Swiss-Army-Knife-type of tool. Due to the great combination of sound/size/SPL and a very friendly behaviour whe it comes to feedback, it is my favourite device on stage. For 8+ years we have been useing it on the road, now. Mainly acoustic instruments. The latest expereience was a drum overhead setup in front of one of this new column speaker systems. Briliant results!

Comments about Audio-Technica PRO 37 Small Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone:

We use 2 of these mics in place of 1 large condenser for bluegrass. Put these in xy set up and they capture vocals and instruments with no feedback. We even pointed our foh speakers back at us just to see if we could get any squeal or rumble. Why use anything else, and for the price they are more than great. I would spend much more if needed to get the quality and versatility of these.

Believe it or not, I mainly use the Pro37 for vocals. This mic is great for Southern Gospel Quartets as well as the normal use of it in the studio for instruments. I highly recommend this mic.

                  Go Pro!

Comments about Audio-Technica PRO 37 Small Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone:

I`ve been using a Pro37 for the last three years and just bought the second one now. They are just fantastic for acoustic guitar. Why didn`t I buy a second one before???They seem to get all the beautiful side of hi frequencies without the brittle sound. Now, with a pair of them, I`m VERY happy with the stereo images I`ve bee able to capture. I also use it a lot together with an Sm-57 to record eletric guitars.(This litlle thing handles a lot of pressure!!) Plug it to any decent micpre and enjoy the ride! Totally Pro!
