Overview

Audio-Technica shock mounts provide excellent mechanical isolation while offering unusual versatility and ease of use. Equally adapted to cylindrical and tapered microphones, they attenuate noise, shock and vibration transmitted through microphone stands, booms and fixed microphone mounts.

The AT8410a permits easy microphone insertion and removal without detaching the mic cable; its spring-loaded clamp holds even heavy tapered microphones securely. The AT8415's lightweight and low profile make it an excellent choice for "fishpole" booms and for video use.

The AT8410a mounts directly to any stand with standard 5/8"-27 threads, and includes a constant-tension clutch and 180swivel for easy, positive microphone adjustment. Isolation is accomplished with elastic shock cord. Microphones mechanically coupled to a stage or other resonant surface. And in live entertainment, shock mounts minimize noise from the movement of instruments as well as the pickup of high-level energy transmitted from nearby speakers.

    Solid!

    By Rob Neidig

Comments about Audio-Technica AT8410A Shock Mount:

Bought to replace shock mount for a Cascade Fat Head mic. They used to come with this style shock mount. These also work great for any "pencil condenser" mic, such as a Neumann 184, Audix scx-one, Oktava MK-012, etc. Works great and the one I have had for several years still has good tension on the bands.

    A Solid Shock Mount

    By Geoff Knorr

    from Baltimore, MD

Comments about Audio-Technica AT8410A Shock Mount:

Even though these are twice as much as the musicians gear counterpart, as an owner of both, I have to say these are probably worth it. The musicians gear shock mounts had stripped screws within a few uses - required JB Weld for repair. These shock mounts are truly built tough though, and overall, have a higher quality material and build.
