The Audio-Technica ATW-3192b Headworn Condenser Microphone Wireless System is part of Audio-Technica's third-generation 3000 Series. The ATW-3192b offers up to 996 selectable UHF frequencies and features for clear sound and intuitive operation.
The wireless mic system includes an Audio-Technica ATW-R3100b receiver, Audio-Technica ATW-T310b UniPak transmitter, and an Audio-Technica BP892cW-TH MicroSet Subminiature omnidirectional condenser headworn microphone. Audio-Technica has simplified the selection of usable frequencies, increased system reliability, and illuminated transmitter screens for clear reads on dark stages. The versatile Audio-Technica ATW-T310b UniPak body-pack transmitter features a secure 4-pin locking connector compatible with a wide range of microphones, as well as a guitar cable. A 3-position sliding cover on the transmitter's control panel prevents accidental shut-off or channel-switching. A locking battery compartment provides a more secure latch and more robust design.
The Audio-Technica ATW-R3100b receiver is equipped with automatic frequency scanning for easy setup. It also features true diversity reception. Two antennas feed two completely independent RF sections on the same frequency; automatic logic circuitry continuously compares and selects the superior received signal, providing better sound quality and reducing the possibility of interference and dropouts. Soft-touch controls provide convenient access to a variety of functions, while a backlit LCD information display provides constant monitoring of system operation, including indication of the transmitter's battery status. The receiver is half-width for a standard 1U 19" rack mount; rack-mount adapters are included.

This headworn mic is so handy in various situations where you need to move around, or whenever you prefer not having to deal with floor clutter like old fashioned mic stands. I own this Audio Technica unit. I've been using it for about 4 months now, playing it through the mic channel of one of my two amps, a Fender and a Roland. I do a lot of gigs where music is handed to me with little time for practice so I need to use a music stand. Between me, my amp, my guitar, my pedal board and a music stand, the last thing I need is another stand for the mic jamming up my area, and wherever the mic stand is turns out to be the same place I need to put the music stand. The wireless headworn saves the day. It calls for no space. Plus, I don't have to worry about whether I'm the right distance from the typical stationary mic. This can be critical when you're concerned with reading music from a standing position while you're trying to strum a guitar. Sound quality is close to the same as a decent mic but I find I can't get quite the same feedback-less volume boost compared to my Sennheiser wired handheld. But the head worn is good enough for many of my purposes. The other advantage is it's less to carry around than a clunky mic stand (see note below on carrying). Hookup is super simple. Note: you must remember to refresh your body-pack batteries, and keep spares close by. Two AAs will give you 2-4 hours max. My singular complaint with this unit is what it didn't have. When I ordered it the salesperson assured me it came with a carry case. No case ever existed. It arrived on a day when I needed it desperately so I did not return the product based on that shortcoming. I ended up going to a sporting goods store and purchased a poly gun case that was stuffed with foam, and then I traced the parts of the unit onto the foam with a marker, then with an electric knife, cut holes out to fit. Works great, keeps it light and safe.
I've Used these microphones for the past 2 years for theater purposes, and have never had an issue! These Have Great Range, Great Quality sound and I Rarely have interference. If I do get interference just easily change the frequency! I Own 10, Great Product!
