The Audio-Technica ATW-251 Freeway VHF UniPak Wireless System is designed to provide reliable performance, easy setup and clear, natural sound quality. The Freeway VHF Lavalier Wireless System includes the ATW-R250 receiver, and the ATW-T201 body-pack transmitter. ATW-R250 receiver The ATW-R250 receiver includes a space-saving switching power supply that automatically adapts to changes in mains voltage. Unlike bulky linear power supplies, this switching power supply is lightweight and compact; it uses only a single outlet space.

Our sound engineer at church bought 2 of these for our Christmas program the kids put on. These sound great! He also bought the cables to use for wireless instruments, and I recently used one with my bass system. WOW! wireless freedom is NICE!!!! These do a great job producing your signal and not losing or dropping the signal. Nice clean sound. I am very impressed and am considering buying one for my personal gear so he can use the other 2 for the guiatrists!

(Guitar) Got a tube amp and play high gain live? DONT BUY
I use a 6505+ and set my settings on the wireless not in the middle of the gate or whatever it is, but closer to the minimum side to reduce squeaks, but in return you lose tone. This was never an issue when i first started using it but for whatever reason the system started to not be able to handle it when there wasnt any sound from the guitar traveling through the frequency. It just obnoxiously squeaks. And it kills me to have to close the gate on the sound because i lose so much tone and it basically sounds like mud. I have yet to find another metal/hardcore music review for this system and i can understand why now...like in previous reviews it says that the system is terrific for church speakers and more then likely for blues/jazz guitars..but as for any gain i dont recommend.
I was looking for my first personal wireless microphone system but did'nt want to mortgage my house to do it. I had used simular systems made by shure and other brands but just could'nt justify spending that much money on something that is just a hobby. Let me tell you, I would take this system on the road anytime. It works great and the price is wonderful. Very easy set up. Sound is very good also.
