CONSUMER ALERT

Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change. For more information, call the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC (TTY: 1-888-TELL-FCC) or visit the FCCs wireless microphone website at http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/wirelessmicrophones.

Very affordable and very good.

The Audio Technica ATW-251 Freeway VHF Guitar Wireless System is designed to provide reliable performance, easy setup and clear, natural sound quality. The Freeway Wireless Microphone System includes the ATW-R250 receiver and the ATW-T201 body-pack transmitter on a specific crystal-controlled frequency. A novel dipole antenna system on the receiver improves operation by providing a ground element in addition to the usual signal element.

ATW-R250 receiver

The ATW-R250 receiver includes a space-saving switching power supply that automatically adapts to changes in mains voltage. Unlike bulky linear power supplies, this switching power supply is lightweight and compact; it uses only a single outlet space.

ATW-T201 UniPak body-pack transmitter

The versatile ATW-T201 UniPak body-pack transmitter has both a high-impedance input for instruments, and a low-impedance input with bias connection for use with dynamic and electret condenser microphones. The ATW-T201 uses internal 9-volt batteries and has an Off/Standby/On switch, input Trim (level) adjustment, and battery-save switch.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

  • Better sound than a cable

As reviewed by Chris on 8/8/2009

this is my first wireless system and i was supprised how reliable it was i can run around on stage and still get that same soun. I was gonna get the Nady one for 70 bucks but i tested that and this and knew which one to get dont waste your time or money on the Nady go with this. I recommend you ask for a brand new one they will try to sell you the used for same price.

  • Impressed...but...

As reviewed by Jonathon on 9/23/2010

So this is my first wireless system and I must say, this is definately a EXCELLENT purchase for both price, and for it being my first. Now going through these reviews most people have just talked about how it would either cut out/not cut out (Depending on review) and such, and how easy it is to use. Well I was more worried about the tone than the Ease of use, Which I was also concerned about. Well it has passed my test with FLYING colors, this thing is truely amazing. It has a good strong Signal, (I havent had ANY cut outs, a little buzz, but no cut outs) and it has kept the same if not BETTER tone than the Live Wire cable I was using. I Was also impressed on how easy it was to hook up: 1. Take it out of the box (Duh) 2. Take the power adapter (Supplied) and plug it into a power outlet 3. Plug the Adapter into the back of the Reciever (bigger piece of system, small plug in the back it's the only one you cant miss it, the lights should come on on the front of the unit, this lets you know its on a functioning, unplug to turn off) 4: Plug in Instrument cable (Not Supplied) to the back of the Unit in the 1/4" input jack, then connect other end to the Amplifier or Mixer you are using 5: Put a 9V Battery in the back of the Transmitter (Battery NOT Supplied) 6: Connect the small Reciever-1/4" Cable to the Transmitter unit (Both supplied) and use small clip on back to connect to Guitar/Bass Strap 7: Plug Cable into guitar/bass and turn switch on Transmitter to ST(Standby-Middle position) 8: Turn amp/Mixer on and turn up volume on reciever unit to Max for full tone, then amp/mixer volume level to desired volume 9: Switch Transmitter to ON mode 10: Play and adjust setting on pedals, amp/mixer, or anything else if needed.// That is the easy 10 Step method to set it up and use VERY simple. The unit is lightweight and yet feels VERY durable in my opinion. All in all though this unit is Very affordable, easy to use, Excellent Performance, and no tone loss. Also Because I noticed none of the other reviews said anything about it, I am Happy to say, this unit was highly effective on Clean, Light Gain, Medium Gain, & Hi Gain settings. The only con I see to this unit, is the clip on the back of the Transmitter, I had to use a Strap to Tighten the hold of the Transmitter to my guitar strap so it would quit falling off and sliding around. I Hope this Review will help you make your choice in your Wireless System.
