  • Quality Headphones for a Nice Price

As reviewed by Aaron J. Hamilton on 1/27/2009

I've owned these headphones for a good 3 years now, and they sound the same as the day I bought them. They've been kicked, dropped, stepped on, and rolled over by computer chairs and they're still kicking! These phones a very light and comfortable, which is particularly good for long studio hours... no ear fatigue either. The "superior isolation" is a bit over-exaggerated, but still pretty decent. It would be much better if the cups were larger and completely covered the ears. I wouldn't call the sound quality the best for any major mixing or mastering, but they do extremely well for tracking and playback. If you're on a budget or just starting out in the recording field and need something close, these will work fairly well. If you're looking to mix strictly on headphones I'd suggest spending a little extra money on some better quality phones. Personally, I mix mostly with near-field monitors, and I use the Audio Technica ATH-M50 Headphones for monitoring mixes late at night, or when my baby's asleep. Of course they're not what some would called the "BEST", but that's strictly personal preference. For a project studio they work excellent. Read the reviews and see what everyone else thinks. PEACE!

For the price you can not beat them. The sound is good. and most of all the are comfortable. I also ordered a pair of skull candy camo head phones i'll recieve this week for my drummer. Over all The audio Technica head phones are a good buy I highly reccomend

  • A solid choice for a tight budget

As reviewed by Fuzzball on 9/27/2006

These headphones are very similar to the Behringer HPX2000 headphones. They have the same audio capabilities and limitations. The one major difference I found was that they were more comfortable to war than the HPX200 headphones. If you were to chose one pair over the other I would get these.
