This mic is really great for voice overs, guitar, singing,rapping, and it's okay for drumming. If you're going to buy this mic then you need to buy a pop filter. (I suggest musician's gear double pop filter.) Anyway, this mic is amazing. It sounds so professional even with crappy software, and the usb just makes it so easy. BUY THIS MIC!!!!!
i bought this mic to record songs with my band, they sound great. i also used it to record guitar-based metal, rap, and vocal pop. everything i record sounds very clear. it is a very easy setup, i created a home studio much easier than i thought possible.
I purchased the first one to use for a quick solution to a voice over class. A laptop, the AT2020 USB, a stand w/ a pop screen, and you have a very portable vocal recording solution. It has pretty decent sound (especially for the price), and the look that helps in the training of college vocal talent. I bought a second set-up because I was so pleased.
