Get Them!!!

Comments about Attack Standard Drumhead 5-Pack:

Let me start by saying that these heads might not be for everyone. A lot of people think they are gonna buy "magic heads" and sound like their favorite drummers. You also need to know what you are looking for and understand your drums and heads. They are single ply, meaning they will have more ring and will be more lively. The better part is they have a little more tone and a little punch to them. Bottom line, I found the exact sound I was looking for on my toms. I use some dampening rings to mellow out the overtones and tune to a medium tension to get a very warm, mellow tone with smooth attack. You can't beat the price, and they take a heck of a beating. The snare sounds great but you may need to get a snare patch to add to the head if you're a heavy hitter. The bass head is great too, it's no Emad but it's got a lot of volume and is pretty punchy if you muffle it right. Give them a try, I mean you can put new skins on whole kit for the price of one bass head from the other guys. I'm on my 3rd set of these and I have no reason to go back, why spend more money?

AMAZING!!!

Comments about Attack Standard Drumhead 5-Pack:

I've played 3-4 different sets of these now and I've played the hell out of them. I've always used 2 ply heads, but I had to try these out for the price and I fell in love. Man, are they worth every penny! But let's face it, single ply heads are not for everyone, it may not be your thing. Single ply heads will be more open and maybe higher pitched. But you get a lower and rounder tone from the head with a smoother attack and less of that slappy plastic sound. But, you will have to dampen the heads, I love the Evans rings you lay on top of the heads, with those and the right tunning you could have a great sound. It may also be better to use them on a more quality drum as well. And don't worry about durability, I hit hard and I've never even dented these things..they will hold up fine. They also tune really easy and hold their tune better than any other brand. The toms heads are nice, the snare is great and the coating wont' chip easy. The bass head is also cool and compares to a Powerstroke 3 or the Evans equivalent. It has a nice tight, punchy warm tone again without all that slappy plastic sound. They are great, try them out. Why pay more, you can't get any better.

Excellent durability

Comments about Attack Standard Drumhead 5-Pack:

Bought these heads back in 06' for my church's set, they stayed on there until I recently started playing again sometime last year in 2012, the heads stood up to numerous players, hard hitters, light hitters, praise breaks, and hours of playing night after night. Eventually they did lose their tone and begin to dent, but never once did they break or sound bad! Outstanding heads, indeed. They sounded great, played great, and my snare sounded excellent. Definitely recommend these heads to each and every drummer for at least one go around. You won't regret it!

Decent starter heads.

Comments about Attack Standard Drumhead 5-Pack:

I'm not sure if I just got a dud head, but the 12" broke right after I put it on and played for a short while, probably around 1 hour. I don't hit very hard, but it was cracked right around the edge. Either way, it's been about 6 months, and the rest of the heads are still in good condition. You will likely want to replace the snare head, as it doesn't sound great. I only give 4 stars because of the head breaking, and not being oo fond of the snare.
