Comments about Ashdown PT60 1x10 60W Bass Combo Amp:
I run a small sound company and after hearing this amp I felt compelled to write a review. If had to use a single word it would be, amazing. As a sound guy I probably spend more time doing damage control than mixing great bass tones. I have mixed thousands of shows over 30 years, as you can imagine I have heard a few rigs in my day. This amp blew me away. The player used a small ampeg extension cab with it in a club setting. All I can say is wow. It has punch, and an overall balanced tone that sounds amazing. It was so easy to get the bass to sit in the mix it was crazy. As I stated before, in a club setting high powered rigs are troublesome to say the least. I don't write reviews on equipment I don't own, but I felt the need to share. I wish all of my clients used these. I regularly mix multi thousand dollar "ego rigs" and this little thing sounds as good if not better than almost all of them. Keep in mind, this is review from a sound guy, I can't speak to the loudness of the unit in a practice situation. Add a squire bass and rock on.
