The Aquarian Super Kick II Drumhead is a clear, 2-ply drumhead with Super Kick muffling ring.
I haven't tried Evans Emad2 or new Remo Powersonic yet, but compared to Remo Powerstroke, the Aquarian SuperKick2 has a whole lot better sound: precise, full of attack, perfect for metal. I use the superkick superthin pad, and when played with double pedals, this head makes my Ludwig Element bass drum sound amazing! As it's already muffled and I put a sweater inside the drum, the sound might seem low compared to toms and snare, but in reality, it's just there, kicking it and kicking it nice! Best bass drum I've had so far!

I bought this head to replace my aquarian super kick I which I recently tore straight through due to my heavier genre. So far the super kick II is sounding good and oomphy and has a pretty full sound, but it doesn't really sound good tuned low or give the kind of delicious wet sounding attack that you would hear in a green day album. But a very nice head. Note: If you use a drum dial, it won't be very helpful on this head because the muffling ring gives a faulty tension reading.

DAMN i just got this head today and im so amazed at the sound it gives me its perfect! a quick punch and since its a 2ply i can play the sh*t as hard as i want! i was so excited i called up my band and we jammed, my drumset kickass now the next thing im gonna buy is a pork pie snare but anyways overall this head is amazing ! i would recommend this so anyone who plays rock music or fast hardcore or screamo.

this bassdrum head is absolutly amazing! i have owned for about 2 years now! I prefer to have this drum head somewhat loose to give you that desired clicky sound you want. this head is perfect match with the Aquarian regulator resonant head with small hole.I also did not mention I dont put a single pillow or any sort of muffling in my bass drum. I also have a giraltar double pedal click pad for the perfect clicky sound. I'd like to see any other head pull that off. All i ever get compliment after compliment about how amazing my bass drum sounds. OMG especially miked. Over all you will never go wrong with this head and never need a new one for one for a very long time.

When I purchased my set 3 years ago the bass drums came with these heads on them. at the time I they looked a little battered because the set came used but I played them and played them and they have not lost any sound quality at all. I would recomend these to anyone who wants some sick sound out of their bass drums
