Controls unwanted frequencies that blur your attack.

A clear, single-ply, medium-weight drumhead with a lightweight muffle ring on the underside. This helps to eliminate some unwanted high frequencies while maintaining a warm, open sound.

  • Amazing Drumheads

As reviewed by Peter on 9/26/2006

If you are like a lot of other drummers out there, you probably muffle your drums one way or another. With the Studio X heads, you don't need to! You get the nice, open sound of a single ply head while getting built in muffling! With these heads, there's pretty much no need for additional muffling unless you want some dead sound. I would encourage you to try these heads out, they are great!

  • Not what i was expecting

As reviewed by Pac on 5/25/2007

Got these heads thinking i was going to get a good sound on my starclassic performer kit (birch) accel sized toms. Too open sounding even tuned low. Put my evans ec2's heads back on and realized i wasted my money and how good the evans ec2 are. Now i know nothing compares to ec2's Maybe studio x are good for jazz. Not good heads for metal or classic rock in my opinion. Staying with Evans from here on out.
