The Aquarian KP1 Kick Drum Pad Single is made from a heavier version of Aquarian's Power Dot material. Strong yet flexible so that it moves with the head.
This is a very durable kick pad. It sticks well and stays put, and it doesn't seem to hurt the sound of the attack (might even improve it actually). For just a few bucks, it's simply a great insurance policy on your bass drum head. Though Auarian doesn't say what material it's made of, my dealer said it was kevlar fiber. If that's true then I'd expect it to outlast my beater. I am tempted to call it bulletproof--not that soldiers are going to be sticking these to their flack jacets or anything, but It's quite a hardy little whack pad.
