  The Aquarian hi energy snare batter is as versatile head as I've ever used. I've changed batters and resonants on my entire kit several times in the last 6 months, looking for that perfect combination. For my snare, I installed the Hi Energey three times, and that is what I'm using now. I kept going back to it. Along with the classic clear resonant, I find them both to be able to be tuned at various tensions for different feels and sounds. The best part is that the head sounds good being hit hard and being played soft. I never lose that snare sound. And the head cuts through very well. Even if you don't use Aquarian on your other drums (though you should check them out), you really need to try the Hi energy snare batter along with the classic clear resonant head.

• Great Snare Head

  This drumhead can really crack and be very loud;but it does have a slight overtone(which can't be heard when you're playing). There is a specific way you have to tune it to make it have a great sound. You have to tighten it slowly and make sure the bottom head is a little bit tighter than the top. you have to tune it pretty tight and have the snares at medium tension.

  I have spent the last year or so trying out different heads for my snare (14x6.5 Black Beauty) and after the first time I tried this Aquarian Hi-Energy head I knew my search for the perfect head was over! I am a heavy hitter and I found that all of the Remo and Evans heads I tried dented/tore or fell out of tune WAY too easily in addition to never giving me the right tone I was looking for. I thought I found what I was looking for in the Remo Coated Controlled Sound but after one show the Remo not only had two good size dents in it but also had to be quickly re-tuned in between every three or four songs. I've always been a Remo man but not anymore! The Hi-Energy gives me that perfect blend of a crisp, full tone while letting the natural tone/body of my snare shine through. I will NEVER again purchase a head that is not made by Aquarian. Try it once and you will see/hear the same amazing differences that I did!
