The AMT WSW - Shure is a special version of the AMT WS. The microphone element remains with the same high level of quality that the WS achieves however is specially adapted to work with any Shure belt pack transmitter/wireless system such as the ULXS14 or ULXP14. The WS comes wired directly with a 4 pin connector to connect directly to any Shure wireless belt pack.
The WS is a low profile double condenser microphone that attaches to the clarinet, alto and bass flute, or oboe with a ultra-miniature low mass clamp. It is specifically designed for the timbre of the clarinet The microphone provides pure tonal reproduction while being unobtrusive. It has an even reproduction of sound across the entire instrument. The AMT WS features a flexible gooseneck, allowing the player to position the microphone for the best possible tone reproduction. It's rugged construction of anodized aviation aluminum makes it highly durable, while being lightweight and non-corrosive.
The WSW Features one microphone at the bell and second positioned over the keys to provide a truer reproduction for the instrument's tone quality. The AMT WSW also comes with two isolation rings. Both microphones are suspended in AMT's iso-ring technology which allows more gain before feedback and less handling noise. A low Z cable and case is included.

Overall very pleased with results from this mic. Playing clarinet in a room with 200 people talking and dining, and keyboard accompaniment -- audience reports sound volume was just right -- could not do it without the mic, and my pianist can hear me clearly. Also use it in smaller rooms very satisfactorily. I find I can make greater variations from loud to soft and still be heard next to the piano. Also, vibrato comes through better. Engineers have a very good idea, I think, in providing two mics -- one below the bell and one above the finger holes.
Couple of caveats, however. First, the engineering buzzwords don't make it clear (to me at least) that you cannot attach this mic directly to an amplifier; you must also purchase AMT's pre-amp. I use the BP45 beltpack which is hardwired to the mic, and on the output side the BP45 is hardwired to a Harbinger Multipurpose Loudspeaker.
If you choose this configuration, I would caution against turning the volume all the way up on the Harbinger (eerie whistling sounds produced) -- I keep the Harbinger volume a little past halfway. (Note the Harbinger speaker will also accept input from electric piano, so you can support two instruments at once.)
Second caveat, the mounting bracket is not completely satisfactory. If you mount it as-is on the clarinet, the movement of clarinet keys produces popping sounds in the output speaker. There has to be some kind of insulation between clarinet and mic bracket. A pretty good solution I found is to cut strips out of one of those mailer envelopes that is lined with bubble wrap. Hold that strip of bubble wrap in place on the bell of clarinet with a strong rubber band, and then fit the mic bracket over it.
